This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of September, 1927, in accordance with request made by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. […].

-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here - we have had this before, you see.
-
Now, we find there have been some improvements in the general physical forces of this body since last we had same here. We would, however, make some little changes with the manner of administering these vibrations - keeping the battery charged somewhat more uniformly by keeping the SOLUTIONS changed as given, see? and the vibrations as have been set up in system are attempting to find expression in the physical and mental forces of the body. Hence very third day, or twice each week, the body should have the full gentle massage over the whole body, especially every distributing center along the cerebrospinal system, that the pressure in various centers, with the changed vibration, may be relieved. Hence we would have a better reaction through normal physical rest, see? The reaction to the mental, the brain’s action, the physical, the central or solar action of the body, would show faster and greater improvement.
-
Be not weary in well doing as toward improvement, for we will find greater and better conditions for the physical and mental and spiritual forces of this body. Keep these up.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 9/10/27 EC’s letter to father: “We enclose you the information as gotten in the rdg., and we hope and trust that it will prove helpful and beneficial. I would follow out the suggestions rather closely, and I am sure you will gain results just as so many hundreds of others have. I think I will be in N.Y. sometime this month for a few days, and I hope I may have the opportunity to meet you and talk with you in person.”
R2. 11/1/27 Mr. [554] obtained the first of a series of personal business readings.
R3. 1/9/28 Letter to EC from mother: “Will you please give [4613] a rdg. at your earliest convenience.
“We have given [4613] about 100 treatments with the electric contrivance you suggested also two osteopathy treatments a week [?] [4613] seems much brighter - takes more notice of things but still does not make a real effort to sit up or talk.
“Will you please tell us whether to continue the same treatment. Please tell us what can we expect of [4613] in the future?
Will he walk? Will he talk? Will he ever become normal? Can he see at present? What can we do to get him to sleep properly? [4613] awakes every hour during the night cries and fusses about 15 minutes then falls asleep again. It is heartbreaking. [4613]‘s knees are drawn up (Spastic). We cannot straighten them. Would an operation help to make him walk sooner? Would an operation on the brain help him? I always think [4613]‘s head hurts him when he cries at night. Is it so?
“Mr. Cayce you can hardly realize how anxious I am to know just what to do for [4613]. I would so appreciate if you could give him a rdg. at once.
“[4613] took a convulsion a few weeks ago. He will be (7) seven years old Jan. 25th. Still lays on his carriage like a baby of 6 months. At times we set him in a small wheeling chair propped up by pillows until he gets tired. As for size he would be normal height. Weighs about 45 lbs. and we have to attend to him just like a baby of 6 months only he is so much larger and harder to handle.
“Kindly advise at once when you can give [4613] a reading and we will keep him at home at the appointed time. [4613] gags and vomits so often looses his breath for a few seconds, his face becomes deathly pale and when he gets his breath again he cries bitterly. What can we do to stop that? At other times of the day he coos and laughs heartily and seems to be quite contented. Will you kindly answer the following questions.
#1. Shall we continue the same treatment? #2. What can we expect of [4613] in the future? #3. Can [4613] see? #4. Will [4616] talk? #5. Will [4613] walk? #6. Will [4613] ever become normal? #7. What can we do to make [4613] sleep properly? #8. Would an operation on [4613]‘s knees make him walk sooner? #9. Would an operation on [4613]‘s brain help him? #10. What can we do to stop the gaging and vomiting? #11. What is the cause of this gaging and vomiting? #12. Would x-ray treatments to shrink the THYMUS gland help him?
“Mr. Cayce will you kindly answer as soon as possible. I have been terribly worried these days. Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year…”
