This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of September, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4630].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same, and you will answer the questions which I shall ask you regarding this body.

2. EC: We have the body here - this we have had before, you see.

3. Now, we find there is the general improvement for the physical conditions of this body. While there are those physical conditions that still cause distress at times, and some all the time, yet the general health, the resistance in the body, has been builded up, and we need only to keep up those conditions as have been given for the body in the way and manner given, with some little changes would we add to this:

4. While the body needs some physical exercise - and it would be well for the body to do and have this - at such times the body should still use the brace for the neck, but whenever it is possible we would do away with the use of this; that is, at rest, at ease, or at various times gradually do without the use of this, for the gaining of strength and of vitality gives more confidence in self.

5. It would be well then to add to those things that have been given, that of the GENERAL massage - not as necessary for any one to PARTICULARLY give such massage, but that the cerebrospinal system may receive that manipulation necessary to equalize and allow the whole physical body to gain its normal equilibrium.

6. We also would add: Use Calcidin as a stimulant for the body, taking same in such a way and manner as to gain the iodine effect in the system, for where there have been troubles with the glands, these - while not causing so much trouble at present - by the equalizing of blood stream through the appliance - this should be worn and recharged every day until this is entirely used up. When used, have same recharged. This is of sufficient vibration for the body at present, and when recharged will assist much more. This will not be necessary before the 15th to 20th of October, this year. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Just how should the Calcidin be taken? (A) In the tablet form, and taken one every day for at least 15 to 20 days. Then rest a day or two, then take it again in the same way. Get the reaction from the iodine for the system.

8. (Q) Is there still a goitre and does it cause any trouble? (A) There are still disturbances in the ductless glands about the thyroids, yet this is not the CAUSING of trouble; yet - as we have given - equalize the system, adding to that which will overcome such conditions in the body.

9. (Q) What is the cause of the pain in the throat sometimes? Does that cause the phlegm? (A) This causes the phlegm. This is produced MOST of the time by retraction as is taking place in the system. At other times we find some irritation by congestion. Hence the STIMULATION through the use of the Calcidin, and the ELIMINATION through manipulation, by EQUALIZATION, for the removal of these conditions for the body.

The massage would be gentle massage each evening at time of retiring, for 15 to 20 minutes over the whole cerebrospinal system. Gentle massage - RUBBING along the cerebrospinal portion of the body.

10. (Q) Does dressmaking harm me? (A) No. Exercises for the body are good. Use care and discretion. Do not overtax or irritate self, keeping employed - body and mind - better for the body.

11. (Q) Could anything be done for my right arm? Since the operation I can’t raise it above my head. (A) The continual use of appliance, manipulation, and the use of proper eliminants and stimulants, will assist - but where nerve and muscular reaction are severed, these may only be assisted toward regaining use of same normally. NOMINALLY, this would not be used, or useful, as much as at present - yet the continual use, the continual applications for the body, will gain for the physical forces better conditions.

Do that as given.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Received the Reading a week ago, it was missent so it was delayed. I tried to get the calcidin tablets but I was asked what grain it does not tell in the Reading so I didn’t know, maybe you could give me advice on that.

Should I keep up the Balsam of sulfur massage and the other nights the gentle massage. I do not quite understand because it says to add to those things that have been given.

I feel about the same as I did the last time I wrote. I am

Replying to yours of the 3rd, the Calcidin Tablets should be the one grain tablets. What is meant in the reading by “Add to those things that have been given” is, that everything that has been given should be kept up and these tablets taken along as given.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

No doubt you wonder what happened to me because I don’t write. I’ve been putting it off from one week to the other in hopes that I could give a good report, but so far the improvement is very slow in fact for awhile it seemed going backwards but I think the cause was that I was without the Pad five weeks. I sent the Pad away to have it recharged the 19th Oct. they received the Pad but not my letter so they wrote back what I wanted with the Pad and I didn’t get their letter either after waiting for some time I wrote again, well they received that so finally I got my Pad after being without it five weeks I sure hated that. I think since this week I notice some improvement I still take the tablets and follow your other suggestions

Will write again some time later.
