This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [464].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce and Dr. Thos. B. House.]

Time of Reading 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same, and you will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.

  3. Now, much may be said regarding the changes in the physical conditions of this body from that as we have had here before. Aforetime we have found that the condition existent, produced by the improper incentive from conditions existent in the cerebro-spinal centers, has brought about varied changes in the reactions, produced by functioning of the organisms of the body. These - by the varied conditions that have been used and applied - have been corrected in a great measure, and the conditions that became acute from this misdirected energy have been brought near to normal, while those impulses and the centers from their radiation have NOT been entirely relieved. Hence we find in a measure the body nearer NORMAL than we have had it before; yet there are many conditions that may arise unless the proper adjustments and the proper alignment is brought to the system. Those weaknesses, those inclinations as have been brought about by this improper relaxation of one organism and its functioning to another, may return - but were these corrected properly, and the conditions brought as near normal in the lumbar and sacral and dorsal region as has been the conditions that are PRODUCED by same, we would have a near normal body.

  4. Now we find from the return of the inability to feel stable, or the return of inertia to the system, so that the body at times easily feels as if slangly expressed - all the starch were taken out of it and it becomes almost as a rag - this the return of improper impulse to the various portions of the system. That to be watched the closer is the tendency of the kidneys and the bladder to be easily inflamed or overcharged by the impulse of the system to turn too much elimination through that channel. Hence that as has been given as to how the proper coordination of the eliminating system should be established, and should kept established; yet one making the adjustments and stimulating by the proper activity of the muscular forces as control those centers where corrections are made in the lumbar, sacral, and lower dorsal region, would bring about the near normal condition for the body.

  5. Do not leave off altogether those of the medicinal properties in the ragweed, though these may be reduced at times, and at others will be necessitating that an increased or the normal doses be taken.

  6. Do not go back to just any character of diet for the body, yet TRY - as it were - the various conditions that will bring more strength to the body, but use CONSISTENCY with the corrections as are being made. Better had it be that that one, or whoever is in charge of the corrections, guide and direct the character of the diet by watching closely how the system responds in the various adjustments and treatments that are given.

  7. Correct those conditions in the lumbar, sacral and dorsal region, so that we do not have a return either of too much or too little capillary circulation, so that we do not have a clogging up or a choking up of the liver, or a condition of too much sugar from the pancrean forces, or too much inflammation to the lower intestines by auto-intoxication, or that there is the tendency of the glands in the lower portions of the body (false pelvis proper) to become too slow or too active in their operations or functionings. Keep the adjustments made until there is stability in the perfect alignment of the cerebro-spinal system itself, and well that the baths (steam or hot water) be occasionally taken, that the system may be kept cleansed PROPERLY, and that heat (wet heat, preferably packs of salt - or saturated solution of salt and water, combined occasionally with soda or with salts) be applied to the spine just before the adjustments are made. Keep this up. Be persistent. Be consistent - and we will bring the near normal forces for this body. Do that. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) In giving the osteopathic manipulations, should this new zone system for treating the nerves and spine be applied? [Method of Dr. Joe Shelby Riley which Dr. Forquer wishes to try.] (A) Very good. This adds particularly to the increase of nerve energy by the oxidization created by this system and oxidization taking place within the system.

  9. (Q) What is the trouble with the eyes? (A) Purely reflex.

  10. We are through with this reading.
