1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are those abnormal conditions with this body that may be corrected, were the condition taken in time, with the development of the physical body, for the condition exists in the development of conditions in the body that, with the cycle of developments, would bring either that condition which becomes a portion of the physical being, and becomes a normal condition for the body in the system adjusting itself to this abnormality.

4. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body:

The history, or the condition in its inception began with that as happened in the body at the time of birth, and in the manner the condition was handled at the time, for we see there was a mispresentation at birth, and in the relieving of the mother injury was produced in spine that has never been corrected. Hence the condition of this condition bringing other forces to bear in the system that would keep this as produced in development a normal force for body. The injury occurred in the sacral region. Hence the pressure as produced on the glands that feed directly to the brain from the system in the inception, or to the central portion of body. Hence the condition becomes in the manner it has been attended in the body - one of a gland trouble and also of a blood trouble, for being in that position where, when the blood supply cut off, and the body beginning in its development to depend upon nourishment and nutriment furnished through its own organs, this, as the system developed, brought about that of the ducts that carry new blood to the system of preventing, not only normal development being under way, but apparently under nourished; yet this condition produced by this pressure as is caused in the first portion of the sacral in body. The tissue as involved in the first portion developed normally in the eighteenth month - after other conditions brought about accentuation in the system of an equilibrium necessary to be kept in system - this accentuating other functionings brought those conditions as exist.

6. The condition, then, as we find, the blood low in its rebuilding. Subnormal, then, in number of leukocytes and in red blood. The tendency at times of becoming abnormally anemic, or that appearance without the action of same in other portions of the system.

7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, a general nervous debilitation, with periods of incapable of keeping a normal equilibrium. Development fast through certain of the sensory system or organs of same, by the giving of over incentive in portions of the brain, yet causing the body to contract in other portions, through retraction.

8. In the general functioning organs, all are very good, save as is seen the accentuation through any congestion, or as would be termed a body easy subject to any sudden change.

9. To meet the needs, then, of the conditions at the present time, we would, through the manipulation, osteopathically given, make those corrections as will be found necessary along the cerebro-spinal system. This, as we see, will take several such adjustments, for those vibrations of magnetic electrical forces should be applied with the treatments - that is, BODY electricity from the hands of the manipulator - that is, one with dry palms, rubbing hands well together until the heat and friction produce that form of vibration as is necessary to reach the centers as these are being applied to in the sacral and in the lumbar region; keeping, of course, the full manipulation for the centers of the locomotaries, both in the sacral and in the arms, as to all portions of the body.

10. AFTER these vibrations have been applied for at least thirteen such treatments, then we would begin applying those rays from the Alpine Light, or mercury crystal light, for the clarifying of the blood. Then, after six to seven such treatments, which should be given at least three days apart, we would give further instructions for the complete correction of this body.

11. Do that at present.

R1. 8/10/26 EC’s letter to [4677]‘s mother: “I’m enclosing you the reading as was gotten, and I’m certainly in hopes that it proves interesting and worthwhile to you. I feel sure, from the experiences of others, if you will carry out the suggestions as given, this will indeed be worthwhile in the life of the little girl. If there are any questions you would desire to ask, we shall be glad to try to help you to understand it, as we see it, and when you have tried this out for a while, I’m sure it would be well to check up on it and see that the right things are being done and just how that she’s getting along.”

R2. 11/15/26 Report by mother on follow-up form sent by the Association of National Investigators:

Kindly advise us in the space below if you have followed all, or any part, of the suggestions given in your reading of August 7, 1926, and give us in detail the exact results you have obtained: “I have followed advice as given in Reading of Aug. 7th and still taking her to Dr. for adjustments three times a week but awfully discouraged - as I think the little daughter was worse this week than she ever has been; now is there anything else you can suggest? Would you advise another Reading?”

R3. 11/23/26 EC’s letter to Mother: “I have your report sent in some days ago. I’m certainly sorry to know that the little girl is not improving as she should. I feel that she should have another reading, by all means. Let’s see what is the trouble, and see if this can’t be corrected. I would suggest, Mrs. […] that you make out a list of questions concerning her condition at this time, and let’s try it this time by questions. Perhaps we’ll be able to get a better understanding of just what’s wrong.

“You will see from the card when the appointment is made. Please give us the address at which she will be at that time.”

R4. 11/30/26 Mother submitted questions: “Does the constipation have anything to do with convulsions? What causes the headaches? Should I continue to be careful of her diet?”

B1. 7/9/26 Mother’s letter to EC: “I am enclosing you a small amount for which I would like a reading for my little daughter [4677] who was eight years old last November. She has never been strong but her present trouble really begun [began] when she was 18 months old. My husband is a preacher and we do not have all the money we could use but if you can only help [4677], I will try and send you some more.

“We will be away from home from July 26th for two weeks. Am very anxious to see her stronger before school begins.”

B2. 7/17/26 EC’s letter to the mother: “I shall certainly be very glad to try and be the means of being of assistance for your little girl to regain her normal health. You can well imagine, I am sure, that our time is well taken up. We have found by experience that it’s necessary for us to conserve our strength, if we want to continue the work, so we are limited in the number that we can do. We are making this appointment for the very first day possible, and trust that this will prove satisfactory and we certainly hope that we may be of some service. You will please let us have the card back as soon as you know just where she will be on that day and time. I’m sorry it comes at a time when you will be away from home, but I’m in hopes that we can have her strong and well before school opens.

“I have always felt an especial interest in children. I was assistant superintendent of the Junior Department of a very good (not a very large, but a very good) Sunday School for a number of years, and in my present position I assure you I can appreciate your husband’s position. I certainly hope that I may be of some service.”
