Time of Reading 5 miles South 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, of Alabama.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of same.

2. EC: Yes, we have had the body here before.

3. Now, we find the physical conditions in this body have not improved since last we had this here. The change that is most apparent is the effect as is produced in the brain center, especially that of locomotion to the left side, and the accentuation of that on the right, or from the left lobe, and the right side being involved, see?

4. This may be greatly relieved, and eventually the condition overcome, were those conditions carried out that would prevent the softening, or the cells from running to-gether in brain, or from their forming tumors or the like on the brain, where cells have broken under stress and strain and eventually found their lodgement in centers in brain.

5. The condition would necessitate that of the attention in a place where the actions and the scissions (seizures?) of the body could be followed very closely for considerable time, for the conditions as are to be overcome must needs be met at least every third to fifth day.

6. In a change of those conditions accorded the body for the improvement under the present conditions, the first would be to use the manipulations to prevent the blood flow in the upper portion, or the normal flow be subjugated through the condition in the cervical and upper dorsal, and by keeping the condition in the general system in order. The reliefs for the body, would, of necessity, then, as seen, be met from time to time, as the changes develop from the change in circulation and the effects that same produce on the body, especially in the locomotion of same, and the brain’s reaction to same.

7. Then, we would give at the present time that as best to be done, to use the vibratory force from electrically driven vibrator over the cervical and the upper dorsal. This will give REST to the body, see? Keep the body under those subjugations of mild bromides - not sufficient that same reacts to the outer portion, or to the capillary circulation, but such as the diluted Bromidia, or a combination of Bromide of Soda, Iodide of Potassium, and Bromide Potassium in small quantities, combined in a carrier of Peptotol, or a pepsin, with the simple syrup, see? proportions - about 10% solution Bromide Potassium, see? to 6 ounces of Pepsin, with simple syrup. Add 10 minims. A 10% solution of Iodide of Potassium 8 minims, 10% Bromide of Soda 10 minims.

8. The dose of this would be half a teaspoonful in water 2 times each day, just before retiring and just after arising of a morning, see? before meal. Not heavy meal. Very little, but much of the green vegetable forces. No meats - no heavy food.

9. We are through for the present.

Dear Mrs. […]

I am enclosing you, herewith, the reading as was gotten. I am certainly in hopes that you can use this to some advantage. I only wish that it was so that we had a place where we could take Mr. [4685] under observation and follow this up very closely, for I feel sure that if such could be done that he could in a short time be a well, strong, man. As to whether this will be very effectual without following these up, I do not know. As for the prescription as is given, I would suggest that you have Sellers Drug Company in Birmingham prepare this for you. The address is Sellers Drug Company, 4th Avenue & 20th Street, Birmingham. I would appreciate it if you would let me hear from you, and you may be very sure, if it’s at all possible at any time for us to be able to be of any assistance, we shall be more than glad to do it. We feel a special interest in Mr. [4685]‘s condition, and would certainly like to be of some help if it’s possible. I realize what a strain it keeps you under, and would appreciate your letting us hear from you.
