EC: Now, we find there are other contradictory conditions existing in this body at the present time. Condition is rather extraordinary. From biological standpoint would be rather interesting to biologists. Not satisfactory entirely to the individual, yet the body realizes and feels there is a great deal of difference in the body and that there is the response to the active principles as have been taken in the system, but the psychological effect of same in system has only been of indeterminate nature. This we see manifest in the physical conditions at the present time. While those conditions as have been given for this body to carry out, that the whole system may receive that incentive and that vibration necessary to create the equalization in the whole body, and an equilibrium necessary to produce the eliminating and assimilating forces to become normally balanced to each other, yet the whole system as at present become contradictory to itself, unless other conditions pathologically are affected in the system, with the properties now to be taken. Hence, we would change somewhat the conditions to be accorded the system. With the taking of the medicinal properties, which should be done following those already taken, we would give each morning a vibration, electrically driven, over the whole system, with the body lying prone, and especially would we apply this for the dorsal regions and across the sacral region. That is, in giving the vibration lateral to the cerebro-spinal, in dorsal region, across the body in sacral region, and rubbing the whole spine with cold water and irritating afterwards until the circulation is brought to the surface, taking then the medicinal properties as have been outlined.

Do that. We will bring the best for this body, [4709].

Mr. [4709] …, Arkansas
Dear Mr. [4709]:
Enclosed you will find a copy of the reading as gotten this morning. I judge from this that you are on the improve, yet there are some conditions that are not altogether satisfactory, but I feel sure if you will follow out the suggestions as given in this, with the other medicinal properties you are to take, you are going to find the relief you desire and that you believe you will receive, for I sincerely believe, from my past experience, that the three rules governing this are absolutely correct.
As for a remittance, we would be very glad to have anything which you see fit to remit at this time, and in accordance with what we suggested at the first, for as you understand our expenses are a constant thing, and assistance from our friends and those we attempt to be of assistance to is always joyfully and thankfully received.
I trust you will let me keep in touch with you, and we will see if we cannot get the results you desire. Should there arise trouble, let’s find what is the cause of same. If these rules are not correct, let’s find why they are not correct, and how they are not correct.
Again thanking you, trusting to be of service, and with kindest personal regards, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:gd

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Your letter with additional treatment prescribed received. The second prescription you gave me, was very hard to have made and we found at home we had to keep in on the stove nearly all day long for it to simmer. At last it is prepared and yesterday is the first day I have taken it. All medicines of this kind gripe me and of course if this has this effect on me, I will have to give it up, but I will stay with it as long as I can. I have not bought an electric Vibrator but take the cold baths every morning and will of course purchase the Vibrator soon as you requested. They are rather expensive and because none of the other treatments seem to do me any good, I have hesitated in buying it, but I will do so. I will certainly persevere with you if you really think that some day you can get me out of pain. I have suffered so many years that some times I get discouraged.
With all kinds of best wishes and regards, I remain
Sincerely yours, [4709]
R3. 7/1/24 EC’s letter to [4709]:
Mr. [4709] …, Arkansas
My dear Mr. [4709]
I have yours of the 28th, for which I thank you very much. I’m glad to know that you have gotten the medicines prepared and I’m very much in hopes you will find the effect proving quite satisfactory. In all of my experience, we have never had any trouble with any of the preparations as given where they has been prepared properly. I am sure, however, that you must have yours correct if your have taken care of it yourself.
Would certainly like to keep up with the condition and to make subsequent readings from time to time, until we get the desired results. Perhaps it would be very well that you prepare direct or leading questions relative to your condition for the next reading and let it be very soon. I will try and make the appointment at a time that you designate in the next one and send the card later, if that would be more satisfactory, for I am sure, from the results obtained with others, that your case will not prove more stubborn than they have.
Assuring you of my good wishes to be of help, I am
Yours sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

…, Ark.
Edgar Cayce, Dayton, Ohio Dear Mr. Cayce:
Please excuse my delay for not writing you more fully about my case, since I received your letter of July 1st. I am sorry to say that the mixture that you prepared griped me so badly that I had to give it up.
If you care to give me another reading I will appreciate it. I am not taking any medicine but a five grain Quinine Capsule every night. What do you think about trying the Abraams Electric Treatment. I have had so many friends get wonderful results from it, and I thought it might be good for me.
You spoke of me preparing a series of questions regarding my condition, etc. Please advise me how to do this and I will prepare it.
Trusting I will hear from you at a later date in detail, and with kindest regards, I remain
Very truly yours, [4709]

Mr. [4709] …, Ark.
Dear Mr. [4709]
Have yours of the 31st. Shall be glad to undertake this reading for you and to answer the questions in same regarding conditions. The suggestion as to your making a list of questions was made that you might understand existing conditions. If you have troubles that cause pain in specific portions of the body, ask what causes those, telling where, or ask such questions as specific conditions of certain organs that you may think do not function properly, and such questions as would the treatment you mention be a specific in your present condition. Questions along that line are such as would give a more thorough understanding of specific conditions in your individual case, and not general conditions. There must have been some trouble with the mixture as prepared for you, for we have never had any such conditions where they were given for a person and that they were prepared properly, and taken properly, inconvenience found from same. Consequently, I’m very anxious to go over this if it’s satisfactory with you and try and check up on these conditions, and were the other suggestions carried out as given in the last reading? Did this not give you relief from such conditions? I am sure from the experience of others, and from our first experience with you, that this has not been gotten at just in the right manner, else you would be having better results at the present time.
Hoping to hear from you right away, and that we will be able to get conditions in better working order, with kindest personal regards, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce

Mr. Edgar Cayce, Box 463 Dayton, Ohio
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Your recent letter of August 25th. before me and also your favor of August 2nd. I have been wanting to make a list of questions and answers reporting on my condition but have not been feeling well and most of the time I am in such pain it is hard for me to sit still long enough to even dictate a letter. I am feeling more comfortable this afternoon is the reason I am writing you today.
The mixture prepared for me was more than I could stand, but of course there might have been some mistake in preparing it, but I tried to follow instructions as nearly as I could. The only other suggestions that you made were simply using the Vibrator and the cold water on the Spine. I take the cold bath, but have not brought the Vibrator yet. It seems to me I need something more powerful than merely these Vibrators. I have used them in the past.
Attached to this letter, I will try to sit down tonight and write you in long hand questions and answers you gave me in your favor of August 2nd.
With kindest regards and best wishes, I remain
Very truly yours, [4709]
