This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of October, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4719].

Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Alabama.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are physical conditions with this body that are abnormal, and same may be corrected.

4. In the conditions, we find there are those troubles in the body that have been of long standing, and that there are those things or conditions that have gradually arisen by this deflection. There are other conditions, as we find, that coming to the body with these deflections have produced disturbances in the functioning of organs and given special strain, as it were, to other portions.

5. These, then, are conditions as we find them in this body, [4719] we are speaking of.

6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good in many respects, yet not normal, either in the rebuilding forces or in the amount, for so much has been used through repression that the system has gradually lost the QUANTITY as should be normal for the body, with the age, with the whole GENERAL condition. Then this portion of same is subnormal, especially so in white blood.

7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this, or in nerve plexus, we find the greater distress as has been produced in times back. This we find in the lumbar and in the lower dorsal. This the repression that has caused the greater distress to the body. This has brought much of the repression in various portions, that has at times produced, in some portions of system, a lack of proper secretions to the organs as function - as we see in nasal cavities at times (Now these are as history of conditions, see?), at others in the stomach - the upper end, or cardiac end, showing that too much of the acid state existed, rather than of the secretions from the saliva glands giving proper distribution in the system for NORMAL digestion. With these conditions existing, we find the distresses come to the LOWER portion of the digestive system. Hence a general strain as has existed in the lower portion of system, with toxins forming back and forth in the system, causing a repression. Never very sick, yet not wholly or entirely well - for these repressions produce, to the digestive system, to the whole general organism of the body, that effect as has brought about these conditions - 4th lumbar, 11th and 12th dorsal.

8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, as is seen in present condition, with that creation in system of sufficient of the leukocyte to produce that as is necessary to overcome congestion as was produced in the system, strain coming on those portions of the body as we find are under suppression. Hence conditions as exist in the capsule about the kidneys, or the gland. Hence we find suppressed urine, and irritation in the bladder when same is discharged. Again a lack, as is seen, of that as is necessary to produce that of the secretions to bring about a normal functioning of the organism.

9. In the general system this strain exists, though we find the resistance equal to the conditions at MOST times - yet this repression gives the whole system an unsatisfactory condition in the general health, and with a rise of other conditions - that might be produced by this through cold or congestion, or through any repression - we would find distressing conditions might be brought about in body from same.

10. Then, to overcome these conditions, we would first, through that of deep manipulation, osteopathically given, correct those conditions in the lumbar and dorsal region.

11. At the same time we would take those properties - in medicinal properties - as would be found in taking, after meals - and do not overload the system with meats; rather vegetables, fruits, gruels, and things of that nature. As much green vegetables as possible. Any fruit well for the body. Well that oranges, grapefruit, or such, be taken with the morning meal - but after each meal, take half teaspoonful lactated Pepsin, with one minim Oil of Juniper, see? half teaspoonful, with one MINIM Oil of Juniper. This should be kept up for at least twenty to thirty days.

12. Five to six such adjustments and treatments should correct the condition, would the body take the regular exercise to keep same in place, after the corrections were made.

13. Do that.

14. We are through for the present.

Having been a druggist for twenty years, I was able to check up on Mr. Cayce’s diagnosis in several points, which was conclusive to me that the whole was correct, and while I did not follow his instructions in reference to treatment, thru the information obtained from him, I was enabled to get rid of fear and anxiety and subsequently cured thru metaphysical treatment - the basis of which you will find in my letter to Mr. Cayce in reference to his other reading for me.

The hematuria that had existed for more than six months, soon disappeared after I was able to get rid of fear and get myself in hand and I have never had better health than I now enjoy.

I do not look on Mr. Cayce’s wonderful work as spiritualism, but rather that he is endowed with the ability to use certain laws that were laid down from the foundation of the world for our use, and it is my prayer that he may continue in his good work, and that the revelations thru him may so increase our knowledge and understanding of God and His relationship to man that all humanity will be brought closer to God and that the world will be made better thru his wonderful and unselfish work.

I am profoundly grateful for the help and knowledge I have gained thru his readings for me.
