GC: You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before.
-
Now, we find there are changes in the physical conditions of the body. Most of these are for the improvement. There are some conditions that should be looked after in the treating of the body - that is, in the relaxing of nerve centers in various portions. As we see in the condition, there are pressures created in the centers, especially, in the upper sacral and in the brachial center, and those create a condition in the 1st and 2nd cervical that overflow the base of the brain, or does not allow a normal coordination of the nerve incentive to and from brain through this plexus. Hence the mental conditions in the body, and the inability of the body to (physically) coordinate in the restful state, see? Now this may prove VERY detrimental, unless this can be changed so that the absorption from the blood that is used in brain is eliminated from same more normal, see? for we would form an accumulation - clot, or pressure, that would be detrimental; yet, by the deeper manipulation in the brachial centers, upper dorsal, by the more relaxed condition, see, in these dorsal centers, these should be, as it were, to prevent too much circulation up above, see? and in the sacral centers relaxed thoroughly, in the upper CERVICAL centers as distributing through the ganglia and through the stimulation of blood flow through the various portions of upper part of body. Adding to that as being done those vibrations in the Radio-Active Appliance (plain), for this will produce better coordination, see? Attach to wrist and to the ankle last, see? At times - that is, say every second or third day, it would be well that the anode be attached to ankle first, then to the 3rd cervical - may be attached to the side rather than to the direct center, see? for we will then reach that vibratory force as produce the pulsation in the upper portion of body. Do that. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Has the body made any improvement in his condition of body and mind since the first reading? (A) Made more improvement in the physical body than in the mental body, yet these conditions, as have been given, show how this is affecting the body at the present. Keep these up as have been given here, if we would correct this condition - relaxing in the lumbar and sacral centers, tautness in the upper dorsal or brachial centers, and relaxing in the cervical and muscular centers about the head and neck, see? especially in the 1st and 2nd cervicals.
-
(Q) Is there anything that can be done to restore his mental faculties and to make him sleep better at night? (A) These changes in the vibratory forces as set up by the osteopathic adjustments and the addition to that of those vibratory forces as found in the Radio-Active Appliance, see?
-
(Q) Is there anything in his subconscious mind that causes this condition of mind? (A) No. Rather that pressure as is created on the sympathetic system by this tautness in the lumbars and sacral, in the condition in the brachial center, and the pressure created on the pineal, and the effect as goes from this through the oblongata and into the brain proper, see?
-
(Q) Is there any treatment that our doctor has neglected - or any nerves that he hasn’t treated? (A) Rather this as has been outlined, with the general treatment, making specific for these centers, where we touch the pineal gland and the pressure and correlation as each makes with the sympathetic system at these specific centers, see?
-
(Q) How long should the battery be used at a time? (A) Hour each day when the body retires.
-
That is all the questions.
-
When the battery is used the negative anode at cervical, attach to ankle first, see? Normally attach to wrist first, ankle last, see? That is all.

R1. 12/2/26 EC’s letter to [4767]‘s wife:
Mrs. […] …, Ohio
Dear Mrs. […]:
I enclose you, herewith, the reading as was gotten. As you will see, the general reading, and then the questions were asked, that we might be sure that this could be better understood. We note that there are some improvements, but there are some specific conditions that the osteopath should follow rather closely. I don’t know just how the osteopath will take this. Perhaps he feels that he knows his business better than someone who has never seen the patient can tell him, but I would ask him to communicate with Dr. L. A. Lydic, Reibold Building, Dayton, Ohio. Let him give his experience with such information, also Dr. Percy Woodall, First National Bank Building, Birmingham, Alabama. Both of these men, I think, are very efficient in their profession, and both of them have had considerable experience with suggestions from this source.
The battery as is suggested, you get from Mr. T. B. Brown of Dayton, Ohio. I’m sure you will find the use of this will make Mr. [4767] rest a great deal easier.
We shall appreciate your letting us hear from you from time to time, for we are very much interested, and we hope to see Mr. [4767] gain his normal good health.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
R2. 2/19/27 Wife’s letter: ”…I want to ask your forgiveness for not answering your letter and reading before this time. We were very much discouraged over Mr. [4767]‘s condition - for he was very ill for many weeks after receiving your reading - and his mental condition very alarming - so I just had no heart to write. Please pardon my seeming negligence in my gratitude for your reading. I gave the reading to the osteopath - he read it very carefully and said that you had a good line on Mr. [4767]‘s condition - and he has been giving 1st and 2nd cervical special attention and he is able to give him better adjustment of neck than he did at first - because Mr. [4767] can relax better. I did not get the battery mentioned for I knew he would not let me use it - but the doctor uses electricity on neck, wrists and ankles. The last two weeks he seems to be improved somewhat, for which we are very thankful. I want to thank you so much for the second reading and believe me very sincere. I think I shall write concerning the battery now since he is better
- he does not sleep very well yet. Would you recommend vapor baths in my husband’s case? He wants to take them…”
R3. 3/17/27 EC’s letter to Wife:
Mrs. […] …, Ohio
Dear Mrs. […]
Yours of February 19th was received while I was away on some special work.
I am sorry to know that Mr. [4767]‘s condition was so alarming for a time, but I trust he is very much improved by now, and I’m glad to know that the doctor is able to administer the adjustments better - and I feel sure he will respond to same. I would be of the opinion, Mrs. [4767] that the baths would be very beneficial in assisting him to relax. While it may be weakening, but - were the adjustments made - immediately following such baths, I am sure your doctor would find that he would respond much better to the treatment, and such baths given under the direction of the physician certainly should prove beneficial, in his being able to rest - and that is absolutely necessary, we know, for his condition. I’m sure you will do well to get the battery, for this is a great equalizer, and is sure to assist in his gaining normal rest in sleep.
I thank you for your letter, and I hope you will let us hear from you whenever you have the time.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL INVESTIGATORS Virginia Beach, Va.
(THIS FORM TO BE FILLED OUT AND RETURNED ONE MONTH LATER)
NAME: [4767] ADDRESS: …, Ohio
Kindly advise us in the space below if you have followed all, or any part, of the suggestions given in your reading of Nov. 30, 1926, and give us in detail the exact results you have obtained.
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I gave our Dr. the reading and he read it carefully twice, and he is trying to follow out your suggestions given in the reading - he works very hard and conscientiously and Mr. [4767] takes 2 treatments a week, but the improvement is VERY slow - sometimes I think he is improved and again I wonder why I had been built up - his voice is better - also muscles
- he walks better at times but he doesn’t sleep much better.
His mental condition is a little improved. I wrote concerning the battery you suggested that would help him to sleep - but the letter was returned. I don’t believe he would wear one but I tried to investigate it and sent my letter to Dayton - with the result above stated.
I am very much distressed about Mr. [4767]‘s condition and have almost given up hopes - but I still keep trying. While there is life there is hope - they say. Generally speaking there is not very noticeable improvement.
Respectfully, Mrs. […]
R5. 5/27/27 EC’s letter to Wife:
Dear Mrs. […]
Thank you for your report of the 20th. I certainly do hope that Mr. [4767] continues to improve. While it may be very slow, I certainly hope that he continues on the up grade. I can’t understand about the appliance. Did you write to: Mr. Thos. B. Brown, % Brookins Mfg. Co., Dayton, Ohio?
There must have been some trouble with the address, for it is not like Mr. Brown to not look after the correspondence, and he is especially interested in seeing that each individual obtains the appliance as is suggested, for it proved so helpful to him, I know he makes a special effort to see that others get them; in fact, each appliance is made by hand by himself, and I know he is there, for I hear from him every week. I think you should write him again.
I shall appreciate your letting me hear from you occasionally, for I assure you it is our desire to be of help if possible.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
