-
EC: Yes, we have the body; this we have had before, [480].
-
As we find, in many respects the body is continuing on the improve; and there should be kept in a conscientious manner the factors in their order as we have indicated for the body, so that conditions will continue to improve.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes the painful cyst at base of spine? (A) As we have indicated, there was an incoordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve energies - described as existing in the lumbar and sacral area; and caused those disturbances in the mental reactions or imaginative forces of the body (these are not the right words, but what they are termed in the physical forces of the body) to produce the disturbing factors - as the headaches, the painful menstrual periods - at times the scant flow and at others too great a flood area or activity. These arise from the incoordination that exists between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system. (Follow these rather closely with the thought, if we would get it.)
Here, then, we have had corrective forces from manipulations, from the sinusoidal or the treatments from the diathermy (which is as a sinusoidal reaction in portions of the body). These have made for CONNECTING of nerve ends in the system, see? Irritation to the lower portion of the body - that is, on the spinal end here, in the coccyx area, you see - has produced (that is, too much of this at times has produced) an irritation until there is the flow of the same form of excretion that makes for the coordination between nerve and muscular plasm of the body FORMING itself into the cyst that exists, see? We would have a thorough massage osteopathically given in the lumbar and sacral area, to make the flow of the blood supply (which the osteopath should be able to do) towards the upper and central portion of the body.
We would massage into the area about the lower end of spine and on the cyst, an ointment prepared in this manner:
To 1 ounce of Iodex add 5 grains of the Animated Ash - 5 grains to an ounce. THOROUGHLY mix together.
This massaged into that area will reduce the inflammation, DRY the tissue.
And the massage osteopathically should start the drainages through their proper channels, thus relieving the condition.
-
(Q) Any change in treatments advised, or additions? (A) As indicated, this would be the addition in the present. But, as we have indicated, the treatments should be given in a manner that is in keeping with the conditions that arise in the body. These have been changed from time to time, you see; and it is necessary - when these conditions are being eliminated - to meet each in the regular order and manner.
-
(Q) Any other advice for the body? (A) Do this.
-
We are through with this reading.

R1. 8/4/34 Mother [601]‘s ltr.: “[480] left on a boat trip last evening for the week-end and expect her back Mon. afternoon. I am quite positive the change will help her and she will be back in time for her treatments.
“We had the Ash on hand which we had combined with the Iodex and have been using it every day. The cyst seems to be disappearing. She has not been suffering any pain and the osteopath is intensely interested to watch the results of the rdgs.’ tr. of this condition. Dr. Snedeker has been way these past 3 wks. and his assistant, Dr. John R. Thompson, D.O., has been taking care of [480]…perhaps it would be best to wait a few wks. for a ck. rdg.”
R2. 8/11/34 “The cyst on [480]‘s back has entirely disappeared and she does not have any sensitiveness in that area. Hope it is gone forever. Many thanks to Mr. Cayce.”
R3. 8/16/34 Miss [480] referred her boy friend, Mr. [633], for a Physical rdg.
R4. 8/25/34 She obtained her next Ck. Physical - See 480-10.
