This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of November, 1929, in accordance with request made by his parents, members of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. and Mrs. McChesney, Miss Mills and L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.

  1. GC: Now, you will have before you the body of [4820], who is at … St., Mt. Prospect, South, …, Virginia. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will speak distinctly at a normal rate of speech, answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [4820].

  3. We find there are disturbances in the physical forces of this body. These are psychopathic in their nature, yet there are physical conditions which PRODUCE same. Here we find the varying effects of mental attitudes, or fear held by a body and affecting another body. THAT is the psychopathic effect.

  4. In the physical we find the channels through which there should be nominal drainage for the position of that portion of the system disturbed, these are not open sufficient for nominal drainage. Neither that through the Eustachian or through the antrum. THESE, we find, may be opened sufficiently - through mechanical operation, assisted by those of massage or chiropractic adjustments sufficient to produce nominal or normal drainage, and we would find the response of the system through these channels, and a near normal condition brought about for this body of [4820]. THAT we would do.

  5. The Eustachian tubes may be massaged internally and externally. The antrum may be opened through nostril by dilation in mechanical direction, and the ADJUSTMENTS in the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th cervicals would be necessary that the relief which is brought to the channels for drainage may have sufficient impulses through nerve reaction to give the circulation and the whole of the lymph’s reaction in that portion of body to relieve same. THAT WE would do. Not too fast, as to over irritate same.

  6. Be mindful that there are not reactions of any infectious nature, or use cleanliness with the use of the instruments that are used IN the antrum and in the hand that OPENS the channels along the Eustachian tubes.

  7. Do that, and in six to nine months we will find NEAR a NORMAL body.

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) Should the adjustments be made before the other part of the treatment or after? (A) Made as the other treatments are being administered, for it will require two to five treatments to properly OPEN these drainage channels.

We need the stimulation to set up drainage and circulation as the changes ar made, and be sure that - WITH the setting up and stimulating OF the circulation - lesions or adhesions are not created. [4820]. Do that.

  1. We are through for the present.
