This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of June, 1931, in accordance with request made by her sister, Mrs. […].

At her Time of Reading sister’s home, 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Scarsdale, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find there are general improvements in the physical forces of this body. While there is not the full coordination as there should be in the mental and the physical, and the organs as are active with the reactions and retractory forces of the body, these are gradually upon the improve.

2. We would add TO that of the battery appliance those of the general manipulation over the whole system, rather in the nature of the NEUROPATHIC application, following out to the nerve ends from their sources in the cerebrospinal system, especially in those of the upper dorsal and the cervical region. We would also straighten, gradually, those conditions that exist in the coccyx region. This will be done by gradually SPRINGING, or adjusting these bone ends that make for pressure, that causes periods of almost coma for the body; that tendency of LOSING self, of dizziness through the system, comes from the attempt of the nerves to make their proper coordination through the lumbar AND sacral region, finding reflex action in the upper dorsal and cervical, that make for a rush of the blood TO and from the brain.

3. With the applications of the battery forces, or low electrical vibration, we will find this will change the activity of nerve energy and bring about a near normal force for this body.

4. Ready for questions.

5. The neuropathic treatments we would give each day, a general one. Every second or third day make adjustments with the manipulations. They may be given by those of the neuropathic school, or by the osteopathic school that will FOLLOW those of the neuropathic MOVEMENTS - see?

6. (Q) What causes the feeling of blackness that comes over her two or three times a day, when everything seems unreal and strange to her? (A) The pressure as has been described in the coccyx region, acting reflexly on the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus to the brain centers themselves, producing that flow OF blood, or flow of blood FROM the brain - to or from the brain. These come in different reactions.

7. (Q) Should present treatments be continued? (A) Those of the battery appliance should. Add TO those, those of the NEUROPATHIC manipulations and adjustments.

Dear Mrs. […],

We are enclosing a copy of your sister’s check-reading, which was gotten this morning.

You will see from this, that the battery treatment is to be continued. There should be added the NEUROPATHIC massage, and the gradual correction neuropathically of the pressure in the coccyx region causing her whole trouble. Your present osteopath, if in sympathy, might be able to give these neuropathic treatments. If not, it would be well for you to engage a good neuropath instead.
