EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have this before, you see. Now we find the conditions in this body in many respects have been improved from the condition that we had when we had this before, especially of the improvement through the ability of the body to eliminate through their proper channels. The condition that exists through the perineurial plexus, where the nerves show the inflammation that has to do with the secretions as thrown off from the system. In this, we do not find much improvement, as when we had it before.
-
There is some reaction that is taking place in the system as is produced by the action of the emunctories; in the kidneys themselves, and of the secretions, as thrown off from the system to the lymphatic through the urine, has passed from the system.
-
To give the relief for these conditions, we would take into the system those properties as are found in Vinol, only one-half quantity as is prescribed should be taken for this body, and added to this would be this; and only one teaspoon of this should be taken in each five days:
Tincture Valerian…2 ounces, Bromide Potassium…10 grains, Iodide Potassium…2 grains, Elixir Calisaya…1 ounce. Sufficient simple syrup to make 6 ounces.
-
Now there will be a reaction in the system by the time the second dose of this is taken. But rest a day from the Vinol, and then begin taking the Vinol each day in half quantities; that is, only half teaspoonful every fifth day. We will bring relief to this body, Mrs. [4861], present in this room.
-
(Q) Will this relieve the bladder trouble? (A) We have just given that.

ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL INVESTIGATORS 322 GRAFTON AVENUE DAYTON, OHIO

Mrs. [4861] …, Alabama
Dear Friend:
We take great pleasure in announcing the formation of an organization known as the “Association of National Investigators” for the purpose of investigating the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, and to engage in research work in order to properly classify and comprehend the vast field of information the psychic manifestations of Mr. Cayce opens to us.
Since you are already familiar with some phase of this phenomena it is unnecessary to go into detail in regard to the wide scope of this work, or the great benefit thousands have derived from the physical, mental and spiritual aid that emanates from this source. It is the intent of the Board of Governors of this Organization to investigate, classify and verify as near as possible each and every physical reading given by Mr. Cayce, in order that definite statistics may be secured regarding the results derived from readings of this kind. We also intend to follow up and study readings given of a spiritual and mental character including the Life Readings and other manifestations of a like nature.
We have already begun our collection of data on information derived from the phenomena, which data we hope to co-relate and translate into readable form for the benefit of all who are interested, and submit this literature through the source of pamphlets, magazines and books. In this manner, we hope to give to those who desire, a better knowledge of the phenomena as well as a better understanding of that which the phenomena represents - the spiritual life dwelling within each and every human being.
Should you, who are familiar with some phase of this work, care to affiliate yourself with our organization, kindly fill out the enclosed card and return same to Mr. Edgar Cayce, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. A membership in our organization gives you the privilege of investigating our records in order that you may attain for yourself a greater knowledge of this wonderful work. It also gives you the privilege of joining with us in tendering to many individuals, who like you have faith in the psychic force, the help either spiritual, mental or physical that they may need and desire.
It is our intent and purpose to establish an Association Hospital to carry on in a more scientific manner the physical work of this phenomena, and also to establish organizations in the various towns and cities of the United States subsidiary to the main Association, the headquarters of which is and shall continue to be, in New York City. You may well appreciate the scope of our ambition which is so great as to require the cooperation of all who are already familiar with and friendly to the work.
If you are interested enough to enclose not only the card signed and filled out, but also a donation to our cause, your cash contribution will be more than appreciated. Funds are in great need to further our plans, and to carry them to a successful realization.
The procedure, organization and undertakings, (the latter purely research in character), are being conducted by the Association according to the laws and methods agreed upon and voted for by the present Board of Governors in New York City and headed by Mr. Edgar Cayce of Dayton, Ohio. Additional members will be admitted to this governing committee from time to time by vote of the present Board. We shall be glad to receive suggestions, advice and counsel from any who become members of the Association, both as to the procedure of the research work itself and as to the formation of a branch organization in your own community.
In affiliating with the Association it is understood, of course, that you obligate yourself in no way or manner, except as you desire. We shall expect you to lend your aid and service as far as your means and opportunity permits. We hope you will join with us in our effort to carry on the greatest service known to Man - that of aiding our fellow man by furnishing the opportunity of lightening the burdens, cares and problems of life. We anticipate your becoming an investigator of psychic phenomena, by affiliating with our organization, for you are an old friend and sympathizer of our work and we therefore turn to you for support and encouragement.
Very sincerely yours,
ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL INVESTIGATORS

R2. 5/16/25 Mrs. [4861]‘s letter: “I am in receipt of your letter about Mr. Cayce - of whom I cannot say anything in his favor. I went to him twice and was not benefited the LEAST - bit - and he charged twenty-five dollars, ($25.00), for the reading, as he called it. I also had two big drug bills. You see why I cannot recommend him, but rather denounce the work he is trying to carry on. I do not think he should be allowed to continue such a business.”
R3. 5/19/25 Gladys Davis’ letter to Mrs. [4861]: “I am in receipt of yours of the 16th, for which I thank you very much. I would like to say, the Association has set itself to gather data concerning the phenomena as is seemingly manifested through Mr. Cayce, and it has hundreds of reports from people in all walks of life, scattered throughout the United States, or wherever Mr. Cayce has been, and from many who have never seen him, or whom he has never seen, save perhaps in whatever state it is that he places himself when he gives these readings. I am frank to say that yours is among the few who have nothing to say in his favor. Therefore, we consider it one of the most interesting communications we have had from anyone for whom Mr. Cayce has given a reading. Perhaps it is the exception that established the rule. We would like to ask the question, wherein do you consider the phenomena at fault? In the individual, or the phenomena itself? Do you feel that you gave the phenomena a fair and honest test? For what would you denounce the work? Why should same be suppressed? The Association is attempting a serious investigation of this phenomena, and is composed of some of the leading psychologists, business men, authors, ministers and physicians, and will appreciate your cooperation in answers to the questions as asked.”
