This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of November, 1927, in accordance with request made by his father, Mr. [592], via his brother, [1565].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: We have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are those conditions that have to do with the eliminations that cause some distresses, and that need attention, else we will find that in later life these will prove detrimental in many respects to the better physical functioning of the body. While the body physically in many respects is very good, showing much vitality from the central system, yet there are hindrances in certain portions of the body that cause these disturbances, especially in the metabolism of the system.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them:

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, these conditions are more apparent than in other portions of the system, yet not in the way and manner that is ordinarily seen. Rather then the effect as is produced in the capillary circulation, and in certain portions of the body especially is this seen.

6. There was produced in times back a subluxation in the 5th and 6th cervical, wherein deflections are caused in the flow of the blood to the head - especially to the 1st and 3rd nerve centers of face and head. These cause and produce, then, a deep circulation, rather than the ability of the capillary or scalpular to eliminate properly. Hence the effect as is produced in the scalp, in the face, in the neck, and the FEELINGS as are seen reflexly in the stomach. These are the effects of that condition produced and existing in the 5th and 6th cervical centers.

7. In the blood supply the effect is seen that the lymphatic and the capillary circulation is not sufficient in the upper portion of body. Hence there is carried in the blood stream those properties from this portion of the body that are as drosses, or ashes, or sedimentary conditions as would be classified from outside or exterior forces. These carrying and being carried in the system give the effect of these conditions as are produced in the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus.

8. To rid the system of these conditions, to create a better equilibrium throughout, we would - through deep osteopathic manipulation - correct that subluxation existing in the cervical region. At least six to eight (6 to 8) such adjustments would be necessary. Applying with same those of the Violet Ray, or any ultra Violet Ray, to the scalpular itself, so that the scalp would receive re-invigoration as well as the facial and neck and throat centers. With the relief of this pressure we will find that the circulation will become more equalized, the condition will be reduced in the hypogastric and pneumogastric centers, there will be better digestion, better elimination, and the stopping of the falling of the hair, and the recuperating of the growth of hair on the head, and a better condition for the face, eyes, ears, nose, and all the organs of the sensory system becoming more acute and more sensitive and reactive to the forces of the system.

9. We would do that.

10. Necessary for at least twenty to twenty-five (20 to 25) such ELECTRICAL treatments. These may be given EVERY day if taken by self - or they may be given every THIRD day if applied by the ULTRA Violet Ray - to head and scalp, see - following the massage, see?

11. Use crude oil and a twenty percent (20%) solution of alcohol as a cleanser for the hair about once each month. Keep this up. We will see this will grow the hair and prevent the falling out - but the GENERAL health needs the first attention.

12. (Q) What course would be best, or what lines should be followed by this body when he finishes high school? (A) Training as an organizer - for naturally the body tends towards leadership.

Special shampoos, ultra-violet treatments and electrostatic vibrators clear the crustations and stimulate the circulation of blood in the scalp. All Australian capital cities have such clinics. Fully-fledged medical doctors generally don’t consider baldness a legitimate medical problem and are quite happy to leave the problem to these quasi-medical commercial clinics.

“A strange Russian discovery may hold out hope to many baldness sufferers. The Baku Institute of Natural Medicine and Physiotherapy claims to have discovered a magic oil that restores hair. It is called naftalan and it comes from the oil fields of the Caucasus. They report that it has grown hair on 80 out of each 100 totally bald pates treated. Naftalan contains potent “aromatic carbohydrates,” which promote blood circulation and improve the body’s metabolism generally, according to reports. It is alleged to heal skin ulcers and operation scars more quickly than any other known medication. The baldness treatment takes 20 to 25 days. A clinic near the oilfield has the capacity to treat 1,000 foreigners at a time. Meanwhile a British gas worker reports that North Sea gas piped ashore had cured his baldness. British researchers have reserved comment but they don’t laugh at the gas-growing claim.”
