-
EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions that surround and affect the body, [592].
-
Now, as we find, the disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body are rather of long standing, when the causes are considered; yet the effects and the incapacitating of the body are more of the recent nature, and are contributed to by the mental attitude that has disturbed the body. Hence we may say there is a constitutional disturbance that has become rather of disturbing nature, aided and abetted by a psychological disturbance and nature. Hence there are some conditions that are rather of the nature as to be more in the order of complicatory, rather than just complications.
-
In the conditions that are physical, these, we find, are the contributory causes of same:
-
The eliminations and the system’s attempt to adjust conditions have created more of an incoordination in the eliminating systems.
-
These, then, are the conditions physical and contributory-mental that we find with this body, [592].
-
In the BLOOD supply, this we find disturbed both as to abnormalcy in pressure and abnormalcy in the manner of circulation carrying poisons or toxic forces; and a contributory toxic force is that of the uric acid base.
-
In the NERVE system, these - both mental AND physical - show disturbances; as FEAR enters in; not only fear for the physical outcome of conditions in and surrounding the body but for those material, parental, associate and filial relations. These make for hardships (for the body WORRIES oft), and produce an irritation that becomes aggravated - or aggravating to an already disturbed and depleted sustaining force in the body, where resuscitation of used forces are supplied from that assimilated. Hence the swelling in extremities, keen pains in portions of the joints in extremities, through the hips and through the shoulders, the head and neck; and such pains are both psychological and pathological in their effect.
-
In the ORGANS of the body themselves, we find there are disturbances in the hepatic circulation, torpidity in the liver, and a tendency for an over activity or an unactivity at times (and both occur) in the action of the membranous distributions through the intestinal system; so that constipation is an effect, and irritations in the colon itself, also the effects of poisons in the epidermis or skin - in the abrasions and the effects of same over portions of the body.
-
These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [592].
-
In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions in the present:
-
First, it would be necessary to create such an elimination as to be excessive, but keeping an even balance in the system as related to coordinating of the systems in elimination; that is, do not use such, in creating an activity in the organs of hepatic circulation, that would force the activity of the liver or the muco-membranes of the digestive system to the detrimental condition of the kidneys or heart’s action either. Then, we would begin as this:
-
We would take 2 quantities, or 2 ounces of that which has been named or called Toris Compound. One (1) ounce we would prepare with simple syrup, the other ounce of the compound with spirits frumenti - then mix the 2 solutions together, see? Take a dessertspoonful 4 times each day.
-
Be mindful, during the whole period this is taken, that there is not an engorgement of the system with foods. Rather a plain, wholesome diet, bewaring of too much meats of any nature - yet sufficient of certain characters to make sufficient gluten and blood building in the system; as mutton may be taken in moderation, but not the fats of same; beef may be taken RARELY - but not fried, nor in any way save baked or roasted, or barbecued. Any of these would be well, but not rendered in the fats of the animal - or of any other fats; rather these cooked out. All leafy vegetables. At least one meal a day should consist of raw vegetables.
-
After the whole quantity of the compound has been taken, then we would begin with this as a tonic - that will clarify the blood stream and make for a reaction of a nature as to make for a balance in the body - compounded as this:
-
Take 1 gallon of rain water or distilled water. To this we would add:
Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Bark…2 ounces, Prickly Ash Bark…1/2 ounce, Yellow Dock Root…1/2 ounce, Burdock Root…1/2 ounce.
-
Reduce this by slow boiling, not fast boiling, and retain the steam at all times while this is being reduced to 1 quart. Strain. Then add simple syrup 2 ounces, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium 20 minims. Cut 1 dram of Balsam of Tolu in 4 ounces of grain alcohol and add to solution. Shake solution together before each dose is taken. The dose would be a teaspoonful 4 times each day.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What exercise, if any? (A) Walking, and the exercise that would be of the setting-up nature morning and evening would be the better for the body. Not too strenuous, but for three to four minutes in the beginning - which may be extended. Do not begin the exercises, however, of any strenuous nature, until after the eliminations have been set up by the use of the compound as given. Let at least five days elapse between the taking of the last of the compound and the beginning of the tonic. Then:
Let the morning exercises be of the arms, head and neck, which will aid the eyes, which will aid the hearing, which will eliminate much of the disturbance that’s been in the head of local nature.
In the evenings, just before retiring, recline and circulate the lower limbs - that the body may rest easier.
-
(Q) How long will it take to cure the condition? (A) Remember, the condition is both pathological and psychological. To take the properties as outlined and not change the attitude towards the surroundings and the conditions will be LITTLE worth while. Become more OPTIMISTIC in the outlook upon conditions surrounding the body; knowing that, if self is spended in doing the best service for that the body worships (whether of the spiritual or mental nature), the results if not in keeping with that desired is self’s own fault! If the ideal is set in the spiritual things, and the results are not in keeping with that meted out, the fault is then in the manner in which the ideal is kept.
-
We are through for the present.
