This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 23rd day of November, 1922, through Mrs. [81].

[Edgar Cayce; Frank E. Mohr (?), Conductor; Fay Autry (?), Steno. Mrs. [4882] and Mrs. [81].]

Time of Reading … Street, 10:00 A. M. Birmingham, Alabama.

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, the abnormal conditions as we find in this body have to do with the nervous systems of the body and their effect and relations to the functioning of the organs of the body.

  2. Now, these are conditions as we find in this body, Mrs. [4882] we are speaking of: The blood supply in the body is below the normal in quantity but not so much in quality, the relation between the circulation and the respiratory system, and the functioning of the organs that control the circulation is different, or governed by the nerve energy as we will see when we come to those, you see.

  3. The number of red blood cells are below their normal number, the circulation is inclined to be deep rather than coming to the surface or rather than a full capillary circulation, hence the condition of this body in that it chills easily if draft comes on it, see, - feels sensitive to any sudden change in temperature or conditions that affect the capillary circulation, this being more of the condition of the nerves than organic conditions, but affects it organically.

  4. Through the nervous system, we find the conditions as we have given of an over-taxed nerve force. There is at the second cervical, sixth and seventh dorsal, second and third lumbar, floating lesions governing the action of various organs to an extent in their functioning, hence some of the conditions that arise in the system are produced from these conditions. The effect to the system from those in the cervical region is the fullness at times to the throat, attempting to clear the throat, to swallow often; reflex action of nervous forces, see. Those about the region of the secondary cardiac plexus cause the expression to the pulmonary forces, and the heart in its pulsation seems to give this vibration, hence it has been termed by some, counting heart beat as of an improper vibration, or the skip of beats to the heart action. Those in the lumbar, the action through the digestive tract, especially, those through the action of the hepatic circulation in its lower pole or through that of the pelvic organs, disturbance at times to the functioning of the kidneys and to the organs of elimination through this portion of the body. They, reflexly, carry back to the emunctory circulation some of the poisons that should be eliminated, hence the tired feeling about the extremities, the heaviness about the abdomen and across the diaphragm.

  5. To give the perfect equilibrium to this body, we would, through that of neuropathic treatment, bring the perfect equilibrium through all of the nerve distributing centers and equalize the circulation, then stimulate the system sufficient to build up the blood forces of the body by taking into the system, this:

  6. To one-half gallon of rain or distilled water, we would add six ounces of Wild Cherry Bark, preferably this is taken from the north side of the tree, reduce by simmering, not boiling, to one quart, strain and add to this, four ounces of grain alcohol, four ounces of Elixir Calisaya, three grains of Muriate of Iron, five grains of Potassium Iodide. The dose would be teaspoonful four times each day, taken about twenty minutes to thirty minutes after meals. Do that. Before bed time too, you see.

  7. (Q) Mr. Cayce, this body wants you to answer two questions. Has she gall stones or ulcers of the stomach? (A) No.

  8. (Q) Mr. Cayce, the body has thought of one more trouble present to ask you about. What is the trouble with the right eye? (A) Improper distribution of nerve centers from the cervical plexus, as we have given.

  9. (Q) Mr. Cayce, this body has a chalky sediment in the urine. Will this remedy relieve that? (A) It will relieve that.

  10. (Q) One more question, she has had pains in the back of her neck? (A) We see she has.
