This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 31st day of March, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. M. B. Wyrick.

Time of Reading Bosque County, 10:00 P. M. Dayton Time. Texas.

1. GC: You will please tell us at what depth they are now drilling, and where, or at what depth they will locate the oil, or will they find it in this hole at all? You will give the general conditions of the operations at the present time and answer questions I may ask you regarding this well.

2. EC: Yes, we have the operations here, the well as being drilled on the land of Madison Byron Wyrick. We have had these before. Now we find the operations have reached the depth of the forty-eight (4800) hundred feet, and the operations are in that producing strata in which the production will be found, and the production may be expected at any time, for the hole itself in passing the production point, yet not located in that area where it would reach same as yet. Needs only be carried to that point where it will break through to the producing portion of the structure. Keep the operations so long as these indications as are being shown. These we find will soon bring the results, and all the greater will be the flow as to the depth or to the portion wherein they strike into the producing pool.

3. Operations about same are very good. Some troubles regarding lines. These we find may be made secure without purchase of other lines, by use of those in same territory. We will soon find production.

4. (Q) What is the exact depth at this time? (A) Forty-seven hundred and ninety-nine and one-half (4799 1/2) feet.

5. (Q) How many more feet will they have to go to bring this well in? (A) This may come at any time, for we are passing, and have passed, production area.

6. (Q) Should they shoot this well? (A) Not as yet. We don’t see that it would be necessary. When they reach this point wherein this will break through, we will find production. This may happen at any time.

7. (Q) Are there any further warnings as regarding the operations? (A) We don’t find any. Keep the operations open, for we will find production here.

8. We are through for the present.

R1. 3/31/25 EC’s letter to M. B. Wyrick:

My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

Your wire received this afternoon, and we’ll try and get this off for you tonight. There’s no need for me to tell you how disappointed I was not to receive the message that the well had come in Sunday or Monday, and at this change of depth I’m sure without excellent indications it would be a sorry condition for everyone. However, as I gather from this, it may yet be expected at most any time, even though it was not drilled to any great depth from the present one. I’m very much in hopes we will yet have an excellent well, and some way I feel more encouraged from this than anything we’ve had as yet.

P.S. I’ve been knocked out myself for a day or two. Just started back to try to do something for myself this afternoon. I feel very much better to know that I was even feeling capable of attempting this when we received your wire. They still insist that I have a rupture.

Dear Sirs:

Last Friday the 3rd, we lost the bailer account of broken line. Recovered it Saturday. Shut down awaiting arrival of new line which should have been received yesterday the 8th and drilling started again.

In the meantime, Martin took samples of the cuttings to State Geologists at Austin, Texas. While they have not had time to make complete analysis and give us a written report, they expressed the opinion that about 400’ more of the formation we have been in for some time, IN WHICH they gave as their opinion that we would drill in to large production. Drillers and all very much encouraged over the report and anxious to get going.

R3. 4/14/25 Mr. Wyrick’s letter: “We have not yet reached the production. I have a very favorable report from State Geologists at Austin who say that we have not as yet reached the bend series formation, but when this is reached we should get production. Might see what you can find out first opportunity.”
