This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 14th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. M. B. Wyrick.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading Bosque County, 11:40 A. M. Dayton Savings Time. Texas.

  1. GC: You will give the conditions of operations at the present time, giving any suggestions that will assist the operators in bringing in this well, also telling of any conditions of which they should be warned. You will answer any questions relative to this I will ask you.

  2. EC: We find there is some consternation and expectancy among those about the operations at the present time. There has been some cause for delay, and the depth as drilled to at present fifty-one eighty-three (5183). This we find is very near through the lime that covers the oil.

  3. In the operations there needs be this for the operators: Beware of the cavings that come from above and that soft or the muck and shale as passed through above, just above, 51 - 11 - 15 - 20 - 5147. We find these will necessitate baling more often, but these will show more gas and more of the presence of petroleum than we have had heretofore. While the operations are enclosed by the production on two sides, this may break through at any time. The operations need only the progress to the opening necessary for the production to come. Keep on with the drilling, for this will produce here.

  4. (Q) To what depth will they have to drill to cause the flow? (A) To that through the lime, which will be ninety-six (96) feet.

  5. (Q) As given in a reading May 9, 1925 [4905-23], in the afternoon, it was given, “This we find without further troubles should be reached through the next forty feet, and should be producing the flow by Monday. This will produce oil in abundance when drilling to the next forty feet.” Explain this. (A) This condition we have existent in the operations at the present time. From the 5073 add 40, we enter the shale that will produce oil in abundance at the present time, and this was reached on Monday.

  6. (Q) Will the operators have to drill 96 feet to break through to production? (A) Production may come through at anytime, for we find there are the continual shows of the oil. The full length of depth of lime, without shale, is 96 feet. This will produce when the break is found in the lime, with the sands necessary to carry the oil. Keep with the operations in care and persistence, for this will produce HERE in this PLACE.

  7. We are through for the present.
