This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 9th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. Wyrick.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Hugh Lynn Cayce.]
Time of Reading Bosque County, 3:15 P. M. Dayton Savings Time. Texas.
-
GC: You will give the condition of operations at the present time, giving any suggestions that will assist the operators in bringing in this well, or warning them of conditions that would assist them. You will answer any questions relative to this that I will ask you.
-
EC: Now, the conditions as we see surrounding these operations, there have been recently some conditions with the operators not entirely satisfactory. At the present time we find some show of gas with the hardening in the formation. This makes hard drilling, with the depth in which they are drilling at present. This we find, without further troubles, should be reached through the next forty feet, and should be producing the flow by Monday. Just needs keep the proper drilling and keeping clear in the way of operating, that they have no troubles from the cavings and the conditions above. This will produce oil in abundance when drilled to the next forty feet [See 4905-24, Par. 5-A].
-
(Q) What depth are they drilling now? (A) 5073.
-
(Q) Are there any other conditions of which they should be warned? (A) Be careful of the gas when conditions begin to drill at least four feet into the sands. See, its steaming gas in some now.
-
(Q) How should this be handled? (A) Just keep on. This will produce, you see.
-
(Q) Any further suggestions for any of the operators? (A) Just keep on.

R2. 5/9/25 EC’s letter:
Dear Mr. Wyrick:-
I certainly appreciate your sending me the letters and messages and information regarding conditions at the well. This certainly looks good to me. I had felt that we would surely have a well before this evening’s reading, but the one that we got seems to indicate that we everything BUT had it and that we may surely expect it by Monday. I’m certainly in hopes that this will prove in keeping with the other information that has been gotten from time to time surrounding same. I’m sure that everybody concerned are on their P’s and Q’s and are expecting every minute to hear the good news. Every time the telephone rings I’m thinking its a message from you that we’ve got it. I’m sure expecting this before Monday night.
Certainly glad to know that you are feeling fairly well and you know we’ll be glad to arrange any day next week to suit your convenience to check up on your physical condition. That really means more than anything else, so any time that it suits your convenience, drop me a wire.
Glad to say we’re all fairly well here. Nothing special of interest, as we’re just pulling along waiting for “the well to come in”.
Again thanking you for your thoughtfulness and kind consideration, and with kindest personal regards from all,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

Dear Mr. Wyrick:-
You failed to endorse the check of 4th. So am returning here with.
Looks like we are in a good block lime this morning but no oil coming thru it, but about four or five feet has been made in it so can’t tell what may come to us yet. Some times I can’t help but feel blue over it, for I do so much want it to be successful and that soon.
Moran and Danner both seem hopeful of early success.
