EC: Now we have here the well being drilled on the lands of Madison Byron Wyrick, Bosque County, Texas. These we have had before, you see. Now the conditions surrounding these operations show the more optimistic view than they have previously shown. That is, in regards the formations and character of formation as is being encountered. The need of the operators is only that of care in handling of tools and in keeping the hole open and care being taken in regarding the escaping gas from same. There will only be a little more in this formation, for we find in this same formation the production will be brought in, see? and is liable to break through at any time, see? Then keep that way as has been and do not change from the full stroke in the same careful manner as has been with this operation in the last few weeks. This will make the success, see?
-
(Q) Have they gone the 17 feet that was given in a former reading? (A) That 17 feet is in the formation in which the production, or sands in production that should be drilled into, see?
-
(Q) How much of this have they gone to the present time? (A) 26 feet in the black lime, see? Then there will soon come this in which the sands will bring the production. These may break through at any time, see? for there are production in many places on either side, see?
-
(Q) Would it be advisable to shoot at the present time? (A) Best drill in than to shoot at the present time.
-
(Q) How many more feet will they have to drill? (A) Few more feet.
-
(Q) Any further information regarding these operations, or those connected with same? (A) There might be much more information given regarding those connected with same. Best information is regarding those connected with the operation itself. Keep in that way, drilling in the hole to the production. This will produce if drilled into, see? before the six thousand feet is reached, see?
-
(Q) What is the present depth of the hole? (A) Five - nine - six - nine.
-
That is all the questions.
-
We are through for the present.

R1. 11/4/25 EC’s letter to M. B. Wyrick:
115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Wyrick:-
I was glad to have yours of the 2nd and to know that the boys at the well are still very hopeful. I know and realize this thing can’t go on this way very much further, but I can’t help but believe, from the reports we still get, but what we will in just a little bit now reach the production. I’m in hopes that this will be helpful in some ways anyway. We are certainly all very anxious about it here and I am expecting any day now to have word from you that “we got it!” I guess we’ve said this before, but I believe it more and more everyday. I hope you’re feeling fine yourself and that when you have the opportunity you’ll write me regarding the effects the battery has on you, if you have gotten it prepared correctly, for I feel sure you will be able to find some help in same.
Glad to say we’re all pretty well here. Nothing strange or new going on, only the unusual climatic conditions for us at the present time, though we haven’t had the cold weather, of course, that you have there.
Again thanking you for letting us hear, and trusting we may hear from you again real soon, with the very best news possible - a WELL! and with kindest personal regards from all
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

Dear Mr. Wyrick:
Just wired we are reducing hole to take 4 1/2 inch pipe soon as she blows (which I hope will be soon). This lime has been without a break for 18 feet. Moran told the Agent that if he was in T.O. Co’s shoes that $100,000.00 would not buy that hole so he has great faith in this lime.
If it will only stop caving for a few towers so they can get a good run on it. Here is hoping it soon breaks into the big production. Best wishes, I am

R6. 11/9/25 EC’s letter to Mr. Wyrick:
My dear Mr. Wyrick:-
The reports as came Saturday afternoon are certainly most gratifying. I’m very much in hopes that to-day will be the day for the well to come in BIG. I’m sure you are real anxious, as everyone else associated or connected with same. This has certainly been a most wonderful test of faith, of patience and of nerve, and I certainly believe that we will all be rewarded for the effort as has been put forth. Should there be anything that would come up that you would like for me to try on, please don’t hesitate to call on me, and we would like very much to hear from you as to your own personal physical condition. I’m expecting and hoping that in the very near future I’ll have the opportunity to see and talk with you again, and I’m in hopes it will be under circumstances wherein we will all feel that the trial is passed, and that our thankfulness and graciousness will be shown to others. I certainly thank you very much for sending me the reports, and hoping that you will let us hear from you every opportunity, with kindest personal regards from all here,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
