This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of November, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. M. B. Wyrick.

Time of Reading Bosque County, 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Texas.

1. HLC: You will tell us the conditions existing with the operations at this time.

2. EC: (Interrupting) Now, we have the well, the operations here. These we have had before. The conditions, the delays as are being and have been caused are the natural consequences of conditions surrounding such operations. The inability to make further progress in the last few days due to these conditions. As the operations begin now in the evening, we will find there will be sufficient hole made to encounter that formation in which the gas will be of sufficient pressure to break through into the hole, bringing with same the oil in large quantities. This should occur in the Sunday morning turn - 30th - 29th to 30th of the PRESENT month. Be in that same attitude as has been given, for these, as we see, will succeed - see?

3. We are through for the present.

My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

Certainly very glad to have yours of the 24th this afternoon. As we hadn’t had the wire, the enclosed reading was gotten immediately. I certainly am in hopes that this is sticking as close to the real conditions as it has done in some of the former readings, for naturally we are all very anxious, as I know you are. I am sorry to say that my wife and I have both been “under the weather” with colds. I haven’t been able to do anything for the last two days. This morning was the first work I’ve been able to do since Tuesday, and as you will see from this, Hugh Lynn (Our Boy) conducted this reading, the Madam being unable to be up. I certainly am in hopes that we’ll have the good news that it’s “over the top” before you are able to get this letter.

Dear Mr. Wyrick:-

Had your letter yesterday and am returning here with the stock.

Will get the two tracts of 100 acres each for J. Frank Lyman. Am trying to get new leases made direct to him 100 from Mr. R. W. Waller on the west end of the Kimball bend - and 100 acres new lease from Mrs. Bush. Think they are both good ones for him.

I went to Mexia to see the American Salvage & Sup. Co. They agreed to take the bad pipe back on Bill of Lading us to load same back on train cars.

The well has been caving badly the past two days. Weather conditions seem to have a lot to do with. Just before a bad change in the weather the well caves. The boys lost the “HITCH” string again but 6035 is nearest we can tell, can’t string in while the hole is caving see.

I shipped the long bailer to Mexia to have it straightened. They use a pipe machine to do work and looks like they can do it will only cost about $12.50 freight and all. Since the water is getting back up on the walls, seems to cave worse. If we can get the long bailer in shape to run on the bull wheels it will take a lot off the sand reel and band wheel.

The gray lime is all right and is regular to come under the black lime then turn into the sand.

The little breaks may come for several feet before we can getting to the sand - big oil - see.

Mr. Leach and Moran are offered 16.00 each day and a 1/16 of the production on a block in Cross Plains where they are getting the best of that field. They say they would not leave us for any consideration, for they are loyal to us and too they feel sure of a great field here if only they can get thru. The car of fuel costs 458.90 besides hauling will be about $86.00.

This is fine oil and will run until Christmas if we have to run that long.

I told Pat to try to sell off some of the acreage. He said its hard to sell it unless he had time to go to Eastland.

Here is hoping things may go right on and that the answer will soon some.

Mr. Wyrick suggested I also ask that you try and give us something on the well, to give answers to the following questions that may be helpful in getting additional knowledge, past, present and future.

How much more lime will they encounter before breaking through and the color of same? Are they drilling straight through this lime or on an oblique?

Is the pay sand right under this lime? If not, what is the formation?

How many feet of present lime have they drilled through?

Are you absolutely sure of production in this hole?

How much longer should it take to reach production?

What is the condition of sand line drum and its brakes? Are they safe? Will there be much further delay caused by cavings?

What is the depth of the hole?

How do the operators feel now? Are they optimistic?

Dear Mr. Wyrick:-

Just a little note to thank you for yours of the 28th and to ask you how things are going. I’m in hopes they’ve been able to make some headway and that by the time, or long before this can reach you, that we will have the report of the success of operations. You know we are mighty anxious and we like to hear whenever you have the opportunity. We haven’t been very well here of late. Changing climate I suppose - we all had colds, but we’re feeling some little bit better.
