GC: You will have before you the reading as given on the well on the lands of Madison Byron Wyrick, this reading given on Dec. 5, 1925. You will describe to us the stratum through which the drilling has progressed in this angle and tell us when, and in what stratum, we may expect to find this production you give is now on sides and bottom of this hole.
-
EC: Yes, we have that information as transcribed on well on lands of Madison Byron Wyrick. The stratum and formations as are seen in this operation are in that nature of the double anticlinal form, and the operation or hole passing in that as might be termed in the ridge of same, in the relation to those pools in oil that lie to the South and East in the various stratum or level in which, or through which, these operations have passed, making the various levels as have been given as where the level that production would be reached. In first the twenty-nine hundred (2900) feet, the double production to the South being of the first or last of the cretaceous forms and first of the bend. That in the next in the forty-two hundred (4200), being that in level of the central or low bend. In the formations then as are to be found in the lower portion of operations, we find that in the two folds, as given, twice the drill or hole has passed through the same formations, in almost identical same depths. In the present, at the sixty sixty-six (6066), we find the entering into the last of the black lime formations, in which the break into the gray in the much shorter depth, and the production in this as turns into the double incline and the cone shape formation of the pool proper. So, we will find in this stratum, the half in depth of the last black lime and a third in depth of gray, before encountering the pool of oil itself. Drill through to this. We will produce oil in this hole. The depth to drill as yet, as we see, then, thirty-eight and a half (38 1/2) feet. We are through with this reading.

R1. 12/8/25 EC’s letter to M. B. Wyrick:
115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Wyrick:-
I have yours of the 5th. Certainly thank you very much for the information and I am certainly in hopes that it isn’t going to be long before we have the real well. As perhaps you already know, Mr. LaBryn wrote me and I gave a reading on the well Saturday, and sent same to him, which seemed to me to be very much in keeping with the information we have to offer here. All of these are certainly astonishing to me, I can’t help but say. So, I tried to word this in a little different manner from anything we have ever had before, to try and get as you say, what the subconscious had to say regarding the hole throughout. I am in hopes that you will find this at least a reasonable conclusion, and I certainly hope and pray this the ultimate conclusion! You asked me what I think if it consciously - Gosh! If you only knew how I had worried! I don’t know what to say. There is something though that keeps telling me it’s going to happen - we’re going to get it. I can’t tell you just why, but it’s in there and at times I just feel like it is happening, and I just believe it will. Yes, I’m mighty glad to say that we are a little bit better here, from our colds - but we certainly are running in some straits - but I’m in hopes that soon we will get things going in a way that will make a more satisfactory thing from every viewpoint. I certainly am in hopes that you are feeling good yourself. I don’t know whether the weather has begun to have its telling effect on your business as yet, but it seems like from the papers we’ve been having some bad weather through Wisconsin.
Let me hear from you whenever you have the opportunity. All send kindest personal regards.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
