This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of February, 1926. Involuntary reading, volunteered, without request or suggestion to obtain it, following a dream reading for Mr. [137] and a mental-spiritual for Mr. [551].

Time of Reading Bosque County, 12:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Texas.

1. EC: Now, we have those conditions as regarding the operations on the lands of Madison Byron Wyrick, in Bosque County, Texas.

2. These, as we see, are showing a much more satisfactory condition at the present time; though under much stress, much labor, has this been brought about; but those obstructions are now in that shape wherein these may be removed from the operations, and they will proceed then, and in the few feet as given, bring production.

Just a little note to enclose you this, given this morning with another reading. This looks like things are getting in better shape. I certainly hope we’ll have a nice report from this soon. Let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity. Certainly am in hopes that you are feeling better yourself.

R2. 2/3/26 EC’s letter to Mr. Wyrick:

My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

I have yours of the 28th [See 4905-53, Par. R4], and I’m sorry indeed to know that you are not feeling good, and I’m certainly in hopes that the enclosed will be of a great deal of value to you, physically, mentally, and every other way.

I certainly am in hopes that things are going alright at the well and that soon we will have the most excellent report. I feel sure we will yet make a success of it.

I certainly will appreciate your taking the time to go over that little data that I wrote, and any suggestions or criticism you have to offer will be received in the proper manner, and I will certainly appreciate your taking the time to do this. I am quite anxious to get this out and going, for I think it should be of help, and if I have not overestimated, I believe it will be worth while and bring some results, for I’m sure the proof of the work is the work itself. While I may not have written this in as beautiful a language as some might be able to, I am in hopes that it shows the sincerity and earnestness that I am putting into the work.

Be sure and let us hear from you, as often as you have the opportunity, for you know we are all anxious about you and want to know that you are feeling better, or know the reason why.

Will appreciate, too, your taking the time to comment on the letter sent you sometime ago. I certainly am anxious to know something of your views on the past, present and future, for I have never heard you express anything that wasn’t to me worth while.

R3. 2/5/26 Mr. Wyrick’s letter to EC:

Chicago, Ill.

My dear Cayce

I returned to the office this morning from a trip to Texas. The enclosed copy of a letter [4905-53, Par. R5] to the shareholders will give you our present status. Now if you get anything to help the cause will be glad to have it. Moran says you sure check with conditions as he finds them. He is baling [bailing?] out as per your last instructions and feels sure he will remove the baler [bailer?] when this is done.

[Verified correctness of personal reading.]

I have read the manuscript [4905-53, Par. R3; 4905-55, Par. R3] several times and cannot offer a constructive suggestion for a change of any kind. It is gotten up well the statements are clear and to the point and it is presented as a whole in a very modest likable manner. Have asked for bids today for printing 2000 pamphlets will advise you soon.

I find that I have the complete forms for the “Message” Booklet intact (including cut). Will it be used again at any time?

2000 of the new booklets, made the same size as sample enclosed would cost approximately 130.00. 3000 will cost approximately 163.00 - 8,500 words will make a booklet 32 pages in type same as pages 12 and 13 of “Message” booklet.

Prices include cover of separate stock, similar to sample.

R5. 2/10/26 Mr. Wyrick’s letter:

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I received in the mail this morning, the letter and reading you sent me at Morgan and I thank you very much for same. Moran seems to be making fair progress in cleaning the hole and drilling by the bailer.

I have just received a bid from one of our printers [see previous Report], the party who printed the little booklet for you before, and I am enclosing it herewith and will retain the manuscript until you advise further regarding the price and your wish regarding the set up and binding. I thought probably you would like this put up in a little better binding than the former booklet, as I feel this manuscript will prove very interesting to whomever takes the time to read it and I feel that it should bring many inquiries and result in introducing the work to many people that would not otherwise become acquainted with you in the work.

So kindly advise me at your convenience your wishes in the matter.

R6. 2/11/26 EC’s letter to Mr. Wyrick:

[First part regards Mr. Wyrick’s personal reading.]

Now, as regarding the data, I certainly thank you and appreciate your comments in respect to same. It wasn’t my intent and purpose, Mr. Wyrick, when I sent this to you, to impose on you, by asking you to have this gotten in shape for me. While, to be sure, that’s what I want to do, for it can only be worth something to me by getting it out to those who may be interested, I first wished though to have your candid opinion regarding same, for you know, a fellow can get a thing so centered in his mind that HE thinks it sounds alright, but when the other fellow hears it or sees it, it doesn’t sound the same way at all. The principal thing that worried me, was the kind of heading we should put it out under. Its too long for an open letter, and I don’t know as I like that “A Message to You” as we had on the other little booklet. I thought perhaps you, or some of your associates there, might suggest a name that would be fine. I know that Crews, Taylor, LaBryn, or Milne, all have good ideas, and they might, with you, suggest something. Should you want to, though, go ahead and have this published for me, there are some little corrections I have gone over it and made that I think makes it sound a good deal better, and I’ll be glad to send it on to you, if you wish me to. I certainly do appreciate your offer, and appreciate your desire to cooperate with me in trying to be of some help.

I certainly am in hopes that Moran has succeeded in getting the hole cleared, and that you have had a ready response to your letter sent out, for I am sure that each and everyone should respond. I feel that they will. You know I’ll be anxious to hear from you, and appreciate your letting me hear whenever you have the opportunity.

R7. 2/13/26 My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

I have yours of the 10th, for which I thank you very, very much. I’m glad to know that Moran is making some progress, and I’m certainly anxious to hear some good news from there real soon.

Now, in regards the little booklet. Mr. Wyrick, I think this would be wonderful of you, if I’m not imposing, to have these prepared for me. I don’t want you to burden yourself with my troubles, because the Lord knows you’ve got enough of your own; but I’m enclosing you, under separate cover, the corrected copy. Also what I would like to have printed on the front of the little booklet. I don’t want the picture of course, and I think without any other word or comment, this just printed on the cover, in such a size that will be in keeping with the size of the book, but of course keep the same circle, but have the half tone or etching made so that it will print nicely on them. Don’t you think this is alright? Everything’s in the picture that’s in the book, if you can see it. That which we can’t see is in the well! But it’ll come up just like the Sun is doing when we get down to it! This is some of my own ideas. I believe though it will induce people to look inside - don’t you think so? If they were printed on just a little bit larger folder it would be alright - just so it would go inside a six and three-quarter envelope. I don’t think the change in the size would make any difference in the cost price, and I don’t think that it would be necessary to print this in any better binding than the first one was printed in. Perhaps, if this was in a tinted paper, a sort of a cream, and just the paper binding, it would be better. [See 4905-55, Par. R3.] Now, there ARE some people that make odd sizes, which makes up very pretty, though it is necessary of course to have the odd size envelope to fit. Should you decide though to go ahead and print this for me until I can do better, why I’ll leave that entirely up to you and the other boys there, for I know they all have pretty good ideas. I certainly will appreciate anything that you CAN do.

R9. 2/15/26 Mr. Wyrick’s letter: Regarding the manuscript you wish put into booklet form, please mail me the corrections you mention so that we may have it set up correctly.

I am enclosing you a copy of the last message [See Par. R8 above] received from Mr. Moran regarding the well. In your next reading outline the operations necessary for the most expedient way of getting a hole through the lime formation that we were in before the bailer was lost, would it be possible to clean the hole as much as possible and put in several hundred pounds of cement and after this is set to drill through. And a new hole in the lime. There is certainly some condition that is wrong as they are not making any progress.
