This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 22nd day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by Mr. M. B. Wyrick.

Time of Reading Bosque County, 4:00 P. M. Dayton Time. Texas.

1. GC: Now you have before you the well being drilled on the land of Madison Byron Wyrick in Bosque County, Texas. You will give a detailed report of conditions at the present time, and information necessary to make a success of these operations.

2. EC: The conditions as we find at the present time, in respect of present operations, are becoming more satisfactory. While conditions have not been good in operations, yet with the completion of casing setting, and with the water being shut off, and the operations in drilling proceeding through that formation to the break in this line, we will find the well, the hole, the formation will produce oil and gas and in sufficient quantity to be very valuable.

3. We would keep in this until this break occurs in which the oil and gas is incased.

4. The conditions regarding operators should be kept in the way that all may be satisfied with the developments when production is in, for this will produce, and there only needs be that care and attention taken necessary to insure the drilling sufficient to encounter the break in this lime.

5. We would be careful of the sand-line in baling. Also of the nipple on the drill line; that is, the temper screw nipple. Be careful of these and we will find that the operations will proceed properly, when casing shuts off the water.

6. Do that.

My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

I received your wire but we have just been so busy that I was unable to get to this until today. Put it off because you said send it to Chicago and that you would be there yesterday. Wired you this afternoon I was mailing same. I feel sure that this is going to be alright, although we’ve had some, seemingly, unnecessary troubles; yet it will work out fine.

Guess by this time they must have the tools all out and the casing about set. Won’t be long before they’ll be getting to the production.

Am sure you’ve been under quite a strain but I feel very sure now that soon you will be repaid for your trouble and anxiety that you have been put to.

I trust that the near accident didn’t cause you any inconvenience or trouble. Was it your hand or foot that was hurt, or both?

You know I’m always anxious to hear whenever you have the chance or opportunity to drop me a line. I’ve been quite busy the last two or three weeks. These, however, have been many local people that take advantage, seemingly, of conditions, but we have gotten some wonderful results and I’m sure in time will prove things out as they should be, for with so much good there must come, eventually, the reaction, and that will be good. If it should NOT develop, then I know its some fault of my own and not of the Forces that direct such information.

I certainly hope that I may have the opportunity of seeing and talking with you sometime in the near future, regarding the many things that have happened which I would have liked to talk to you about; yet knowing that you were so busy, and under such strain, didn’t feel it was right to trouble with them. I’m glad to say we’re all fairly well.

I trust to spend Thanksgiving with my Mother, who I haven’t seen for nearly two years.

R2. 11/22/24 Mr. Wyrick’s letter to EC:

My dear Cayce

We dropped tools in hole last Tues morning got them out yesterday. Now hauling casing & fuel oil. Will set casing first of week to care for the water condition. Then drill in. We are a few feet in Black lime very hard. Saturated with oil. The Drillers say its the cap. About 3535, have a few feet to go to make the ninety. Did not get reading yesterday. I feel confident we are on it and have only to drill in.

Dear Mr. Wyrick:-

I certainly thank you for yours of the 22nd and for the enclosure. I was very sorry I did not get the reading to you sooner, but I’m sure you must have received it about the same time that I did your note. It is certainly very, very, nice of you to remember me at this time, for I’ve been very anxious to go and see my Mother, whom I haven’t seen for two years, or such matter, and I want to be with her again for a day or so anyway.

I’m very pleased to note, from the statement you make, that there are many things that check up with the reading that we sent you. While this is quite a bit of difference in the depth as was given in first reading, still, if I remember correctly, it was given you one time you have to go quite a bit deeper where the well was located than you would have had to, had you been a few yards, or a few hundred yards, away from this. I just feel positive you’re going to have it in the next few days. I presume you have gone back to Texas. This will follow you though if you have.

I received a letter this morning from Mrs. Moore in San Saba. All this I’m sure in self-explanatory. [See [5628] series.] I wrote her asking her to please hold this matter up for three or four months longer.

As to the fee for the registration, and the notary, I don’t suppose you knew anything about this. You can handle that though however you see fit. I felt that I should let you know about it.
