This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 19th day of March, 1924, in accordance with request made by Mr. [4906].

Section 7, Township 14 Time of Reading N. Range, 14 E. North of 10:20 A. M. Morris, Oklahoma.

1. LS: Now, you have before you the well which is being drilled in Section 7, Township 14 North, Range 14 East, situated directly North of the Town of Morris, Oklahoma, in Okmulgee County. You will give the conditions of the well at the present time. You will also answer the following question: Should casing be run at the depth of two thousand seven hundred seventy-two feet, to which depth this well has been drilled?

2. EC: Yes, we have this here. We have had this before, you see.

3. Now, we find the conditions here as these:

4. On this location we find the double fold, and the sand that is or was oil bearing has been passed through above this depth. In this place, or as at the present depth, we should with the first lime, at two thousand seven hundred seventy-eight (2778) ground measurement (not derrick) find that place to set the casing to cut off the water from above, and at the two thousand seven hundred eighty (2780) ground measurement find the first show, as given, of the oil and gas production, which will be produced from the sands below. Do not expect to find the full production at the two thousand seven hundred eighty (2780) but the first show of oil and gas, and the casing should be set on the first lime at two thousand seven hundred seventy-eight (2778) ground measurement.

5. Do that. Then drill in, and we will find production in this place.

Dear Mr. [4906]:-

As per your wire, which was received too late to get last evening, wired you “Wire delayed. Set casing first lime two thousand seven hundred seventy-eight, ground measurement. Then drill in.” I am in hopes that this will work out nicely. Will take you a day perhaps or such a matter to run casing, and we should hear from you by the last of this week or first of next. Naturally, you know we are very anxious, as I know you must be. Let us hear as soon as possible.

R2. 3/19/24 EC’s letter to Mr. [4906]:

Dear Mr. [4906]:-

Yours of the 14th [See 4906-5 Reports] received this morning. We have just sent you a wire and letter regarding conditions in Section 7. Judging from your letter, and what you say conditions are, this will certainly be a most wonderful test, and I can’t help but believe that your faith in carrying out the suggestions will prove the correct thing. I am well aware of the fact that, no matter, how much faith doesn’t put something where there is nothing, but [if] I am to judge the future by the past experiences, those who have carried out the suggestions in faith, believing, certainly received that which was promised, and that all the rest had become dis-believers makes it to me the more wonderful test for the proposition. Now, as soon as you have been able to finish with this in Section 7, and can take up the one in 8, you will certainly change people’s opinion of what you are doing, and that you are sticking on the job yourself is the proof of your sincerity in the proposition. I am sure the report as sent this morning, even judged by your letter, will check up. Consequently, I am looking for a wire from you saying you have the “precious juice” with abundance of gas about Tuesday next. I certainly enjoy and appreciate your letters, and I have to laugh at myself sometimes at the confidence and faith that my wife has got in you, for some reason that I have never seen her have in any other man. I appreciate very much your position financially, and is one of the reasons, as I said before, I did not want to burden you, for I knew you had your hands full.

As for our friend, [257], the last I heard from him he had a position in New York with some coat and suit house. I’m going to try to write him to-day, and see if I can get in touch with him again. He was just as full of visions when I last heard as he had ever been before. Certainly have to hand it to him on his ability to make promises and borrow money from that one and the other. Whether he has ever done anything with the furniture he was to sell or not I do not know. However, I do know the furniture was not his, unless he got an order from the Court to sell it for salary due him. That I do not think was done, for there was some stock issued me in that company, and I have never been notified of such a proceeding. I’m quite sure you are tired and worn if you had been running tile yourself. I’ve never run tile myself, but I have sat on the job for weeks and I know what it means for the man who does.

P.S. Hard work certainly must agree with you, and you are certainly getting to be some size, for with your height and two thirty-one to carry you are certainly some big boy. I’m enclosing you one of our little booklets that one of our friends has donated toward trying to help me get started.
