Date: 12/1/1930 Sex: M ReadingID: 142

This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [53].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:10 P. M. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [53] - this we have had before. The body still shows improvements in the general physical forces of the body.

  2. We would change now to ONE GENERAL osteopathic treatment each week, and one massage with Balsam of Sulphur in the lumbar and sacral regions - rubbing thoroughly along the limbs to the knees and ankles, following the course of the muscles rather than the nerves. We will find that more or the greater strength will be gained by the body through this mode of application. This may be given by any masseuse, or by one at home - will it be THOROUGHLY done, see? Balsam of Sulphur - not to dry - but massaged thoroughly into the lumbar and sacral regions, and ALONG the MUSCULAR portions of the limbs, to the feet, ankles, and on to the upper portion of the body, see? that is, to the hips.

  3. Keep up the general diet as has been outlined.

  4. Exercise in the open as much as possible, but do not overtax nor strain self, and it will be found that in an earlier period than expected the body will be able to return to daily labors - or work - as is desired. Ready for questions.

  5. (Q) Does smoking affect the body in any way? (A) If in moderation, does not become harmful to the body.

  6. We are through with this reading.
