This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of September, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [540], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading … Ave., 4:10 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them.

  2. EC: Yes - we have the body; this we have had before.

  3. Changes as we find are indicated since last we had same; some for better, some not so well.

  4. Through the manipulations that have been administered, we find that some of the inflammation which was disturbing from the kidneys and bladder is indicated more in the ovary region - through SYMPATHETIC reaction, see - through stimulations to the activities of those portions of the body.

  5. These as we find should be the administrations in the present:

  6. In the manipulations, while the general nervous system is to be taken into consideration, also stimulate the impulse centers from which the organs of the pelvis - particularly the ovaries - receive their impulse; so that there is a greater activity of the lymph circulation through those portions of the bodily forces.

  7. Then leave off the Turpentine Stupes across the kidney area, but continue the combination of Mutton Suet, Turpentine and Camphor over the abdominal area and especially lower to the pubic bone and to the upper portion of the abdominal area, covering particularly the ovaries, see? Apply over same then not so much the heat from electric pad as from dry heavy salt, heated. This is to be a part of the activity with these ingredients.

  8. We would not take more of the nitrate - the Sweet Spirits of Nitre (it is a nitrate). We WOULD take now the Watermelon Seed Tea, which forms a different combination. This would be made from the crushed seed, you see; a teaspoonful to about a pint of water. Take this about three times each week. The pint would be taken during a day. It is to be made by pouring boiling water over same, and letting it stand for an hour or so, like preparing strong tea.

  9. We would be mindful that there is not too much activity on the feet.

  10. Also be mindful that the diet is kept of those foods easily assimilated.

  11. Do these.

  12. Ready for questions.

  13. (Q) Are other conditions causing the disturbance, or does it all come from kidneys? (A) Most is from the kidneys, in the PRESENT. It is a reflex and sympathetic condition in the ovaries.

The stimulations that have been given have rid most of the disturbance directly in the kidneys. Hence it is a nerve and a reflex condition, and should be eliminated by these measures indicated - unless it becomes LOCALIZED by temperature arising. In such a case, it will be necessary for stronger measures, of course, to be taken.

  1. (Q) Please explain the fullness and nervous sensation in throat. (A) Purely sympathetic reaction from a high tension - a high-strung nerve condition of the body.

  2. (Q) The extreme depression? (A) The natural reaction from the nerve reactions upon the organs of the pelvis and upon the general nervous system.

  3. (Q) What causes blindness at times? (A) This is a reaction from kidneys.

Do these things as we find are the better forces for this body, unless temperature or great pain arises again.

  1. We are through for the present.
