Hospital Premises) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of August, 1930, in accordance with request made by his daughter, Miss [349].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions as surround the body. In some respects we find the strength, the vitality of the body bettered. As respecting local conditions, we do not find much change for betterment. While the pain, distress, is not always as severe as has been; neither do we find the applications as would be made for the corrective measures as fully adhered to, as respecting the manipulations - or drainages set up by manipulations, nor the applications for the corrections. We would find that, were the applications more closely adhered to, bettered conditions might be expected from the condition, and we would give, then, we would adhere closely to those applications for the improvement in vision, in the circulation, and especially would we insist upon the drainages, especially as related to the central nervous system, and the circulation to the throat, neck and head, being set up. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) Should the body continue treatments under Dr. Theo. Berger? (A) These, we find, would be much better were they continued under those conditions, than they have been under those surroundings that have been APPLIED to same.

3. (Q) When can body expect improvement in eyes? (A) When they do what is given!

4. (Q) What treatment for nose and throat? (A) The same treatments.

5. (Q) How often should the body have a check reading? (A) When they do what has been given for them, and whether they are better or whether they are not so good, THEN it may be questioned, but do that FIRST!

6. (Q) Any other advice that body should have at this time? (A) Do as has been given, in the MANNER given.

7. That is all the questions regarding this body.

R1. 8/7/30 Daughter [349]‘s letter: ”…Thanks so much for your letter and the check reading. As soon as the weather gets somewhat cooler, I’ll see Dr. Berger in reference to my father getting the right kind of treatments, so we can begin to see results…”

R2. 12/12/30 Daughter [349] submitted questions, saying: ”…I’m writing you today to see if you can get in a check reading on my father on Monday. He has finished the course of treatments given in the reading from Dr. Berger, and he has taken this particular fifteen treatments, twice over, and both he and Dr. Berger feel that they should go on. Dr. Berger, of course, cannot go on with any more treatments until the reading tells him what to do, and we would all very much appreciate your doing what you can to get this check reading in on Monday…”

R3. GD’s note: Because of requests for an emergency reading for her mother [5449], Miss [349] did not get the check reading for her father [5451] as, or when, planned.

R4. 1/22/31 Daughter [349]‘s letter: ”…When do you think [5451] will be able to get a check reading? He has not been continuing his treatments as Dr. Berger is waiting for a check reading…”

R5. 3/18/31 Daughter [349]‘s letter: ”…I wonder if it would be possible for you to get in a check reading on both my parents soon. As far as my father [5451] is concerned, Dr. Berger doesn’t know how to proceed with him, and his eyes are getting worse, especially the right one…”
