This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of September, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [5459], via Mr. [1565].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

  3. Now, we find there are many various conditions to be considered in giving those that are to be met in the correction of the physical forces in this body.

  4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in the body at the present time, and that as is necessary to bring about those conditions that will bring improvement and assistance to the normal conditions and normal functionings of this body, [5459].

  5. In the blood supply, then, we find as this:

  6. This rather heavy at times. Hence the depressions, or the pressure as is produced. Not as that of an organic heart trouble. Not that as of a derangement in the blood supply. Rather that of the condition existent in the nerve centers that govern the supply and its functioning throughout the system, yet the heaviness and the pressure at times produce disturbance in various portions of the system, as is seen in the sluggish action to the liver and hepatic circulation, as is seen on pressure in the sympathetic system, causing noises and disturbances to the sensory organism, giving distresses, then, to the eyes at times - at times to the throat, the disturbance there - to the ears, the ringing and the sounds that appear at times. This the result, then, of these conditions.

  7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, then we find the greater distresses, as are the seat or cause of conditions in the system. This, as we find, has those specific centers that are in the line, as it were, of the cause or seat of the conditions. First, that of the mode of the labors are at that point of being heavy for the body, through the continual one continuation, until the body feels, apparently, at times that it will cry out that it CAN’T go farther. This, as we find, in a pressure as is produced on certain centers that tires out and gives to functioning organs in the system much of the derangement that brings about troubles in the pressure produced in the blood supply, and of the derangement as is seen in various functioning portions of the organism of the body. Notably: that in the 2nd and 3rd stem, as it were, or joint, in the coccyx, in this region, we find the pressure such as the derangement comes to that center known as the brush end of the cerebro-spinal system. Hence has many variations in the effects as produced from same throughout the system, depending entirely upon the cycle of the circulation or of the functioning of the organs - as we have had in various stages of the condition these conditions have existed. Some, more or less, exhibit themselves in the body at the present time. Nerve indigestion - depression and over activity both have occurred at various periods in the functioning of the kidneys. Constipation - the condition in the lower folds of the portion of the body where excretions come from the system. Hence the pile, or the condition as exists there. Pressure as is produced from same reflexly acting to a heart reaction - low in liver circulation - depressions in the lungs - a tendency to cough at times - all of these VARIOUS conditions as are seen coming from a nerve retraction from a subluxation produced in the lower end of the cerebro-spinal system - in the sacral and in the coccyx. In the reflex there are lesions as are formed in the system from same - notably, those as are seen at the 9th dorsal and in the 2nd and 3rd and 4th cervical. These directly affect the various portions of the system. Hence the general debilitation as seen when these centers are as in unison in tiring out the whole system. Taking of medicinal properties has not corrected the system. Changes from one climatic condition to another would not affect the same.

  8. The correction, then, of these conditions, must be made through that of the correcting of the structural portion in system, that the nerves may be liberated in their action, and that the incentives from such centers are active in their normal way and manner - then directing the diet, the activities, in such a way and manner as to rebuild that vitality as is necessary to meet the needs of this body, [5459] we are speaking of.

  9. In this way and manner we will find we will bring about the normal conditions for this body.

  10. Correct, then, that condition in the cerebro-spinal centers. First those in the cervical and dorsal region, and those in the sacral and coccyx. The better condition will be brought about by first applying heat of the wet nature to the spine, that the relaxation of same will be made so that adjustments in centers may be made with the least resistance, and that the body will respond more readily to such corrections. These should then be made osteopathically.

  11. As for the diet, follow close in these lines: Well that as much green vegetable foods be taken as possible. Not the acids of apples, but that as would be found in peaches, grapes, oranges and of such nature will be well to begin the day with. That of a light meal in the middle of day, as soups, or cereals may be taken n the middle. Much of the food values in evening carrying those EASILY digested.

  12. Following these lines, and keeping the body well cleansed with PLENTY of water taken in the system, even as MEDICINAL properties - PLAIN WATER - in and out - that is, drinking water and using high enemas to cleanse the colon from impurities. With these corrections, with these conditions, we will bring the better conditions for this body.

  13. Do that.

  14. We are through for the present.
