Time of Reading Cayce Hospital Annex, 4:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find in many ways the body is responding to the administrations of those conditions as have been outlined for the body. While there are many conditions that still cause distress, especially in the nerve ganglia where the taxation has been so severe as to change the coordination of the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal nervous system, this requires time, patience, and relaxation, and the proper stimuli through the digestive system to build for nerve energy and proper blood supply in system. Do not try to hasten, nor overtax the body, until the conditions have reached a more NORMAL activity; else the end will be worse than if they had not begun; for with the shattering of this coordination, there is too easily the unbalancing of the mental with the physical forces of the body. Ready for questions.

  2. (Q) Give cause and treatment for relief of distress in head and neck? (A) This the attempt of the cerebrospinal nerve energy and the sympathetic nervous system to create coordination, or cooperation. This comes from the taxation as has existed in the system. The best is to allay same through that of any of those efforts that may be reached through a sedative or a hypnotic that will release or relax the body. Heat applied will aid materially. This should be of the wet nature, rather than dry.

  3. (Q) What can be done to abort these attacks? (A) Only the keeping - or the relaxing of the system may do this. Do not worry over the taxation of the system, for these will only aid or add to the distress.

  4. (Q) What would you suggest for a laxative? (A) Liver packs and liver salts. Let the packs be those of the oil packs, and the liver salts those of Caroid or of such nature.

  5. (Q) Should there be any change in diet? (A) That that may be more laxative in the system may be the better for the condition. That that will build nerve energy. Would be very well were Celerena used, or the Essence of Celery, as dosages, with those of the laxatives as in Senna and in such. These will aid.

  6. (Q) How much longer should body remain at hospital? (A) Until it is in much bettered condition. At least two to three, to four weeks, at least.

  7. (Q) What changes in general habits of life would you suggest? (A) None; only those of the regular routines of the body, is the best in the present.

  8. (Q) Should they continue to live and serve in …, Alabama? If not, where? (A) This condition, as we find, has been seen and given [See 310-1] in that there are other fields that would be more helpful, more beneficial, to the physical and mental and material conditions of the body. These must be determined MOST within self, but DO NOT consider serving others until the physical forces of self are capacitated to measure up to that desire as is to be meted out; for too much has been given without the proper returns already, for the mental and physical forces of the body, without consideration for self’s own conditions. While well to serve, and to serve is man’s greatest activity, greatest service to the Creative Forces - but to overtax self is to defeat the purposes for which the Creative Energies have given the strength AND the abilities.

  9. (Q) Any other advice regarding this body? (A) Be mindful, and keep that as has been given. We are through with this reading.
