This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of October, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [5499].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Many are the alterations or changes in the after effects, or EFFECTS of conditions existent in the system from that as we have had before. In the present conditions we find the ELIMINATIONS are INCOORDINATING in their activity; that is, at times we find the intestinal tract - or the alimentary canal - elimination seems to be fairly good, then we will find disturbances in same; again we find kidneys show too LITTLE activity, at others they show the effect of sedimentary conditions and a tendency to cloudiness and of clayey appearance, or reddish; again we find the respiratory system, as of cold perspiration of evenings or night, and again it’s hard for perspiration to be seen on body, except on forehead or arms, or thighs. These, as we find, show an ATTACKING of the reflex NERVE forces of the body, produced - as WE find - from auto-infection, or auto-intoxication. Partly does this come from the intestinal tract itself, or from accumulations as show in the caecum and the upper portion of the ascending colon; this produced again, in part, by conditions existent in soft tissue in portions of body - as in tonsil, as in the soft tissue of the face, antrum, adenoids, and such. These are EASILY affected by CLIMATIC conditions, easily by odors, and such. WE would, as we find in the present, INCREASE the ELIMINATIONS in the system, both by colonic irrigations - as to cleanse near nominally the colon itself - and by taking into the system properties as will aid or STIMULATE the liver in its activity; not merely by exciting the gastric juices of the system, as to cause an overacid forming, especially through the bile ducts - but that which will act in conjunction with the gastric juices of the stomach itself, causing spleen, pancreas AND liver to ALL be active TOGETHER in a COORDINATING way and manner. These, as we find, WITH the eliminations increased through colonic irrigations, would be best found in those properties of colocynth, calomel, aloes, and hyoscine. These may be found in the properties combined in that proportion as prepared by Sharp & Dohme, or they may be compounded together in a prescription in such a manner as to be active upon the system in SMALL doses - which will be found to be a great deal better than large quantities at a time. Take small doses, extending over a greater period of time, so that the system - the functioning organs themselves, are able to absorb sufficient so that the FUNCTIONING of the organ is stimulated TO exercise ITS own functioning, not INCREASING the functioning of the gastric juices or exciting any of the functioning organs to a state as to produce an excess or a DRAIN on the organ in its functioning.

2. We also would have local applications or removal of the tonsils themselves, or these may be treated by the finger surgery - that will REMOVE the portions as are AFFECTED, and WITH cleansing of the system clarify the conditions in the body. The increased activity in the system will relieve those distresses or pressures as are created in the nerve forces, as extend to the limbs or through those plexus to the arms, the plexus to the lower limbs and portions of body.
