This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of September, 1934, in accordance with request made by the wife - Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:00 to 3:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Fla. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [550]. WE would not alter or change in the present any ministrations for the body.

2. The setbacks have been natural results from reactions in the system.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) What caused the acute condition of the dull, sick, heavy pain in right hip? (A) Reaction from toxic forces that are being stirred in the system by the use of those properties and exercises as given.

5. (Q) Have the Alycin and Upjohn’s Citrocarbonate interfered with the other treatments? (A) Have not interfered. Well that the diet be watched that this does not recur, or the acid recur in the system.

6. (Q) What should be done for the pain and numbness? (A) As indicated; it’s BEEN done!

7. (Q) Should anything further be done for that specific condition? (A) As given, we would not alter that which has been done.

8. (Q) Should all treatments be continued? (A) We haven’t changed it one bit!

9. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do that.

R1. 9/26/34 Wife [639]‘s ltr.: “We appreciate the rdg. so much. The pain in back at right hip still holds on some but I feel it is about eliminated. I felt sure it was ‘natural results from reactions in the system’ but when one is suffering severely you don’t always feel sure that you are right. At the time the urinal test showed high acid, so have been watching the acid forming foods and yesterday’s test showed normal again. Generally speaking I can see Mr. [550] is very much improved, but it is going to take some time yet. He is now on his third prescription of Ambergris, etc. His head seems much better. His aches and cramps in legs and feet not yet relieved, etc., but it seems to me he is coming along as well as could be expected, though it seems slow to him.”

R2. 11/2/34 “Mr. [550] is improving and is about ready to start on his last prescription. That is all the Ambergris he now has.”

R3. 11/20/34 “While I am sure he has improved a great deal in many ways, and no doubt the correction of the liver, spleen, pancreas, etc., is progressing as it should, still he keeps having so many distressing things the matter that he sometimes gets discouraged.

“Now for about a couple of wks. the top of his right hip bone and down into the bowels has been so sore and pains all the time. Also his left forefinger. Also his whole left arm and shoulder aches so. He is not able to sleep good at night. He has such a general weakness and tires out so easily.

“He has taken the Ambergris prescription constantly and this is the fifth month. He has taken just about half of one prescription now and has enough Ambergris to fill the prescription once more when he finishes amount on hand.

“He has used the antiseptic prescription all the while. He has, however, for the last month or six wks. gone without the neuropathically given massage as stated in the rdg., because he at this time just could not afford them financially. This we have regretted very much.

“He is strictly on the no sugar, no white bread diet.

“His head seems better, though he still sneezes, but not like he did. His eyes trouble him a great deal and are very red.

“He gets very discouraged with the tired weakness and aching.

“The Ambergris prescription lasts just about six weeks, so we yet have enough for the balance of this month and Dec. which will make six months.

“Am wondering if it would be well to arrange for another rdg. by that time and if you have any suggestions as to his hip, bowel and arm and finger condition at the present time. They disturb him so at night. We do not like to go to a doctor as it may interfere with the prescriptions given in the rdg., but the soreness and aching should be relieved.”
