Date: 5/14/1930 Sex: F Age: 46 ReadingID: 13735
This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of May, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [5502], through Mr. [2897].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5502]. Now, we find those conditions as bring disturbance, stress and pain to the body, are of two specific causes, and BOTH are from infectious conditions; one affecting the nerve through that condition existent in the assimilating system, or organs of assimilation; the other through the infection as in the maxillary centers, or in soft tissue in face, antrum, and the like. These being specific in nature, have - through the various applications as have been given - become rather of constitutional in effect, and while temporary relief has been brought at times, this re-occurs; one, then the other, causing or being the cause of the distress.
-
To meet, or to bring about the proper correction, would be to go to the seat or the cause of the conditions. This, as we find, will require some patience, some consistence, and some actions that will NECESSITATE at least a continuity of the treatments to REMOVE this wholly. While the psychological conditions are effective in the system, the pathology of the condition needs some consideration also. While vibratory forces as set in activity are essentially of the BUILDING forces that renew the energy in system; yet where the derangements have become of such a nature as to affect both nerve system and those of tissue itself, this produces - as is seen - DIS-EASED vibrations, and should be given both local and general application.
-
Will the body put itself in that position where these may be applied in a way and manner in keeping with the information as may be given, we would OUTLINE the applications for same; for there will be needed the vibrations of those low electrical forces, as will change and aid the psychopathic condition in system, as well as the necessity of vibrations medicinally given through the same low form of electrical forces, as well as manipulations for a general condition in the body, setting up the eliminations through that of the fume baths as may be given in a MEDICATED form. These we would do. Then, put self in that position and we may be of aid. We are through for the present.

R1. 5/14/30 EC’s ltr. to [5502]:
Mrs. [5502] New York City
Dear Mrs. [5502]:-
We are enclosing the information as gotten this morning.
As for the application of what would be beneficial, this is not given very definitely. This is not the usual way of the information, but is possibly in keeping with some interpretations of the information - or of its source.
As I understand from this, if you would be the gainer through these channels it would be necessary for you to come here - where you might have the suggestions for the physical improvement applied exactly as they would be given. This is scarcely possible other than at the institution that has been built for that purpose. I am in hopes that you will see your way clear to do this, for I believe you can be helped a very great deal. Then, you will be able too, to know the work at first hand. It is impossible for anyone to TELL you about it. It must be your own experience.
Hoping to be of service, I am
Sincerely, EC:GD
R2. 5/16/30 Letter: ”…Your very interesting and enlightening letter of May 14th was just received. Thanks so much.
“As much as I would like to come to you, it is impossible at the moment, but maybe later in the summer I could come down for a week.
“In years gone by I have had some antrum trouble with severe colds, but just now my trouble is in my left knee. I have seen doctors, some who wanted to operate and others who suggest serum treatment, but so far H. J. Reilly of the Reilly Service has helped me more than any other doctor. I believe you know him, as you have sent several people to him, a Mrs. [5439] for one, and I would like to know if you can suggest anything else for him to do, or do you consider an operation best? I will abide by your judgement and advice and please be so kind as to let me know what I owe you. I certainly owe Mr. [2897] a debt of thanks for putting me in touch with you and I do hope to meet you personally some day.
“Please let me hear from you as soon as possible as I do want to feel that I am on the right path and with your good advice…”
R3. 5/22/30 EC’s reply:
My dear Mrs. [5502]:-
Replying to yours of the 16th, my understanding from the information given is that each condition of this character presents a problem in itself, and while an operation - or a serum treatment - would be GOOD in SOME cases, there are others in which this would do little or no good at all. Just the same as the treatments at Reilly’s. They may assist in some cases, and are curatives in others - but there are OTHER conditions that are deeper seated and require a different treatment entirely.
To be sure, I do not want to insist on your coming to Virginia Beach; neither do I want to stand in the position of saying that I think our treatments - or that suggested in the information - is the only one that would ever do you any good; but this is possibly the only PLACE where you could WHOLLY have ALL of the suggestions carried out that were suggested in your reading. I believe if you would arrange to come here to even get the starting of your treatments, THEN you would be able to have them carried out properly - for then you would know JUST what the treatments were and just HOW they should be applied. If it is necessary for the operation, for the serum - or for the treatment such as is given at Reilly’s - they are prepared here to have ALL of those given, or any of them given - and many others besides.
Can’t you arrange to do that? Then we will be able to say DEFINITELY just what is the best.
Sincerely, EC:GD
