This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office in Pinewood, on Lake Drive, Va. Beach, Va., this 14th day of March, 1932, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [437].

Time of Reading Apt. 14-E, 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5532], and those conditions and circumstances as surround the body. This we have had before.

2. Now, as we find in the present, while there are physical conditions to be met, and these are apparently of such a nature that little could be - or would be - accomplished in correcting same, yet - as given - are the spiritual and the physical relationships that exist in a living active organism taken into proper consideration, we would find these may be aided materially in the activities of the body that even has the scar tissue affecting the movements of a portion of the body, even in the brain cells themselves.

3. As has been given, this will require - from the physical viewpoint - patience, persistence, on the part of the body and those that would administer those things, those outside elements of the physical, and that there may be added those incentives for the creation of - first - absorption of those affectations, and then the gradual growth of same, that there may be more response and reflex action in that portion of the physical body so affected; and there will be the necessity of the spiritual activity upon the applying of the treatments for the physical and the reactions in same, as well as upon the part of the body, to that consciousness that may see - in an imaginative first, in a subconscious second, in a CONSCIOUSNESS third - the physical conditions taking place in the body.

4. As has been given, those things that would apply to the advent into the physical experience in the present would be of interest AND aid to the body, AS this developing and awakening takes place.

5. Then, in the PHYSICAL activities in the present, first we would apply the low electrical vibrations from the wet battery appliance that carries Gold in the system. These would be applied, when the application is made, each day for twenty to thirty minutes. The anode through which the Gold is being carried into the system would be applied to the 1st and 2nd cervical center, or those impulses as are carried from the trunk portion of the body to the brain cells themselves and the circulation of the greater portion through the medulla oblongata, or the central brain impulse; while the other would be attached to the right SIDE of the body first (keep this rotation in order, see?) (Attach this with the Gold FIRST, see?), the right ankle plexus; the next treatment the forearm - right side - plexus; the next to the lower lumbar or 4th lumbar plexus; the next to the brachial center or 3rd dorsal plexus. Then begin at the ankle, then the wrist or forearm plexus, then to the lumbar, then to those of the brachial center. These, as given, each day. These would be given in this manner first for the twenty-eight days, which would be the practical life of the vibrations. Let the battery when not in use be disconnected from the anodes or leads from container, see? Keep the anode that are attached to the body bright, by being each time rubbed or polished. Also keep the lead that passes through the Gold Chloride solution CLEANSED, and we would use at least four OUNCES of the solution from same to pass through. Make the battery of extra heavy charge; that is, to the gallon and a half of the distilled or rain water add two ounces of the Copper Sulphate, see? one and a fourth ounces of the Acid C.P., and ten drams of the common zinc. Do not use the charcoal in the this PARTICULAR battery, at THIS particular time. This should last (the charge) for twenty eight days, beginning with the treatments as outlined.

6. In the mental applications there should be those things carried in the mental mind of the body of one making the application. This as an affirmation, or prayer, or meditation, during the whole period:

THERE IS BEING CARRIED INTO MY PHYSICAL BODY THAT WHICH WILL AID IN ENLIVENING TISSUE, THAT I MAY EXERCISE THE FACULTIES OF MY BODY THE BETTER. THIS BEING CARRIED THROUGH CREATIVE FORCES AS ARE FROM GOD’S STOREHOUSE.

8. (Q) What percent solution of Gold, or is it made in ordinary manner? (A) Fifteen grains Chloride of Gold to ten ounces distilled water. That proportion. At twenty-eight days we would give further suggestions.

When there is the desire from the body that there be the spiritual understanding of its advent into the material plane, these may be given.

9. We are through for the present.

My dear Mrs. […]

The information as was gotten in the reading was sent you. We noticed this indicated we had had the case before, so naturally we looked it up in the files to see what had been said. I personally believe, Mrs. […], that you will be able to get some results for Miss [5532] if this is gone at very persistently and consistently. It will not do any good, of course, to work a little while and then stop.

We have had information from time to time that has indicated that the type of appliance as is given here would restore in the body even tissue that had been atrophied or impaired from growth or by congestion. Now, as to whether this will do the same thing in this case or not, I do not know. I am sure the tissue has not altogether been destroyed, or it would have stated so. We are in hopes that you will try this out for the relief that we feel may be expected in this case.

Should you desire that this be carried out here, we could make arrangements for Miss [5532] in the home of my sister, who looked after the Hospital when it was open. We also have several physicians of different schools who are in sympathy with our undertaking, who could be relied upon to aid should necessity demand it. I am offering this, to be sure, merely as a suggestion, with the desire whole-heartedly to be of aid, if possible. I hope and trust that we may be of service in some way, for this is our primary interest in every case that is presented.

The appliance that is suggested is made by one here at the beach, for those and the outline for same have only been given in the information, consequently, may not be purchased at any store, as they are not on the market.

My dear Mrs. […]

I have yours of recent date. I can appreciate your position in feeling that it is impossible for you to give Miss [5532] the advantage of coming to the Beach at present. I believe we would make up this battery for you and we would give you the instructions as to how to apply it yourself at home, and if you will be very persistent and consistent in the use of same I believe you will, as so many hundreds of others, see some results. Made up to carry the formula as given, the cost is $15.00. If you would like for us to do this for you, we will be very glad to do it.

We also have a very definite, sincere group of individuals who are anxious to be of help whenever possible and when it coincides with individuals ideas. It is called the prayer group or the Glad Helpers. If you would desire that they include Miss [5532]‘s condition in their prayer twice each day, you only have to ask and they will be more than glad to do it. There, of course, is no charge. We only ask for her co-operation, and yours. The periods of meditation are 7:00 to 7:15 A.M. and 5:45 to 6:00 P.M. I do not know that you believe in any such, but we don’t ask that you believe anything save be very sincere in your desire to the Maker that help come. You will please let us hear from you as respecting both of those.
