1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [554]. This we have had before. Also those relations as the body has and contemplates, with conditions as respecting same, through the mind of this body, [554]. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) My firm has formed a merger with a few other concerns. Where do I fit with this merger? (A) There are at least two specific places the body may fit with this merger. However, the individual opinion of the body that there are those with the new associations that are not entirely satisfactory, would, in a manner, UNFIT in certain directions. In the purchasing end of the new associations would the body better fit in, or that of the go-between of the manufacturing of certain lines and distribution.

3. (Q) Is there a change contemplated that will benefit me in any way? (A) Benefit the body in some ways!

4. (Q) Shall I entertain a proposition that may be offered to me by Bloomingdale Company of N.Y.? (A) Very good, and this will offer an outlet for the abilities, or the body may approach and GAIN associations through its former connections that would be in many respects more satisfactory, and still not a going back, but a forward step in the endeavors of the body, [554]. Lord and Taylor. [2/24/31 “I am no longer connected with Lord & Taylor of N.Y. and I am now seeking a new connection. I would appreciate it if you can answer the following questions.”]

5. (Q) Will they (Bloomingdale Company) pay the salary that I have in mind? (A) Not at first, but the proposition as will be offered through this connection will exceed that as the body has in mind as stipulation.

6. (Q) Should I see Lord & Taylor or associated dry goods company with a proposition that I have in mind? or should I wait until they approach me? (A) As has been outlined, this channel also offers an opportunity for the body to make associations that will be satisfactory to the body.

7. (Q) Will it be advisable to enter into the furniture business for myself in the near future? (A) Not as we see it.

8. (Q) Is Sterivs open for a proposition? [Wired 5/21/29.] (A) Open.
