This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of July, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [556], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [556]. Much improvement, as we find, is indicated. Yet the weakness and the anxiety, and the tendencies for the desire to be active and to carry on, tend to make for the POSSIBILITIES of too great an exertion on the part of the body; which would cause a re-congestion or reinfection in some portions of the system.

2. The greater warnings would be, then, that there not be too much of an exercise; though sufficient to make the body GENTLY physically tired.

3. Keep up the manipulations in such a manner that drainages are set in the superficial circulation, so that it drains well to all of its associations with the alimentary canal, the respiratory system, the kidneys (keep these well-balanced in their activity).

4. As to the specific conditions where congestions have been indicated in face and neck, and those stiffnesses that arise from same; we would keep up occasionally the foot massage as indicated; and on the face we would use the Iodex without the Ash - until the Ash may be obtained, but not too close over the optic portion itself - to REDUCE the tendency for the localization by too great a superficial circulation; but massage AWAY FROM the centers toward the body.

5. Then stimulate the circulation, as indicated, by the manipulations.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Are the manipulations being given as to cause drainages to be in the correct way and manner? (A) These have been very much better in the more recent ones that have been given.

8. (Q) What causes the hands to swell? (A) The poor circulation, as indicated, from those centers in the brachial area. Set up the drainages TO the alimentary canal and the respiratory system. This has just been given!

9. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) Keep those things in a NORMAL manner that have been indicated, as for body-building. Be sure that what is taken is well MASTICATED. And if there is a tendency for the digestion to be slack, by the filling in the stomach, use a few drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin in water following the meals. These will be very good.

10. (Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) Atomidine would be well for the body; given under the direction of a physician, however. Do not take in too large a quantity; but small quantities taken a day or two at the time and then left off and then taken again. This will make for a better activity in the glands and a PURIFYING of the activity in all the ducts and glands of the system. Take three to five minims once or twice a day, but watch the pulsations with same - That’s why, as given, it should be taken only under the supervision of a physician, in this particular case.

R1. 7/23/35 GD’s note: Mrs. [2470], we appreciated your letter, [See under 556-9 Reports] and Mr. Cayce thought we’d better check up on Mr. [556] and see just how he was getting along. Dr. Frischkorn, I’m sure, will be glad to administer the Atomidine and watch the reaction as the Reading indicates; as well as continue his manipulations to keep up the drainages.

We have just learned that the man who makes the Animated Ash has moved to Atlanta. His address is: B. H. Bradley, Route 1, Box 568-AA, Atlanta, Ga. I’m sure if you will write there you can get the Ash right away. I don’t know why his mail hasn’t been forwarded from Chicago.
