This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of December, 1938, in accordance with request made by the sister, Miss [993], through Mrs. [413], both Active Members of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes.

  3. There are more hopeful conditions, as we find, with this body.

  4. The use of the Ultra-violet is most beneficial; for a minute and a half, and this may be increased a LITTLE - if there is not too much irritation produced by the deep activity of the Ultra-violet ray, see? but mighty little; half a minute in a week would be sufficient, unless there needs be greater irritation.

  5. Especially would this be more helpful if there would be a massage with Cocoa Butter after each application of the Ultra-violet. Commence about the upper dorsal or lower cervicals, and massage in a gentle circular motion with this all the way to the end of the spine. Never up and down, but a circular motion coming down always, on either side of the spine; so that the reaction of this is to the sympathetic system, rather than the cerebrospinal. This will be most beneficial.

  6. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) Is the light the right one, and is it being given correctly? (A) This is right, and following those directions as indicated it is given correctly. Do not put it too close to the body, see; have it thirty to thirty-two inches from the body.

  8. (Q) How often should the enemas be given? (A) To keep sufficient activity through the alimentary canal. If this requires a little every day, it is not too much; but if this is NOT needed, then it may be put a day, two days, three days, four days, five days apart; but at least every five or six days.

  9. (Q) Over how long a period should the light treatments be continued? (A) This depends upon the condition! Whether it’s a day, a month, a week, year or a century, DO that that is needed! There MUST be some consistency, some judgment as to the needs. This is to be made as an aid; not to be relied upon or depended upon as a staff or rod or porch or lean; but as a helpful force to aid the BODY-consciousness to respond, see!

  10. We are through with this Reading.
