This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of August, 1938, in accordance with request made by the sister - Miss [993], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Edna Harrell and Jean Koch.]
Room 217, Time of Reading General Hospital, 3:55 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Raleigh Ave., Norfolk, Va.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions I shall ask regarding same; with special reference to diarrhea condition, and proper care at home to prevent bad after effects from operation.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [560].
-
As we find, there IS some anxiety - owing to the reactions that have arisen through the excess flow of the emunctory and lymph circulation, through the activity of the peristaltic movement of the intestinal tract.
-
This as we find is a natural consequence following the effects produced by the activities of properties given to prevent static conditions through the alimentary canal.
-
We find that it would be well in the present if there would be given small quantities of Milk of Bismuth; about half a teaspoonful stirred in half a glass of water, with one to four drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin in same. With this given about once or twice a day, we find that these conditions would disappear.
-
It would be necessary, however (and this would be preferable in any case), that there be a cleansing of the colon with a tepid irrigation; using a saline solution for same.
-
As to the care of the body, very soon as we find:
-
Keep as cheerful attitudes and surroundings as practical. Quiet - in the main, but not in such measures that it becomes oppressive in its general reaction to the general activities of the body. But do not TIRE the body out, so as to cause stress or strain upon same.
-
Ready for questions.
-
In the matter of the diets, keep those that are body-building. Plenty of okra once or twice a day, and oyster plant [salsify]; those of such natures as these would be well - with Beef Juices - these would supply gluten as well as the necessary forces for the better coagulation in the activities of the lymph and the circulatory forces in the blood supply.
-
(Q) Should Codiron be taken? (A) We wouldn’t begin this for another week or so, or until there is a better balance in the body. Then these would be very well, but chew them rather with the food.
-
(Q) Should any of the massages be given? (A) Only to quiet the body as we find these necessary, and it had better be by a masseuse.
-
We are through with this Reading.
