EC: Yes, we have the body here. As we find, there is the tendency for a malarial reaction in the system; by the change in the activities of the body, the conditions, the change in the climatic reactions to the system, and the BLOOD not THINNED - as it were. Hence there is caused sickness to the stomach, inactivity to the liver; producing headache, nausea for the system.
-
As we find, we would have two or three rounds of Castoria; this taken in broken doses. Let at least three to four days elapse between the periods of taking same. Take half a teaspoonful every half hour until there is full reaction from the system, at each round.
-
It would be well if there were a gentle massage with equal parts of Mutton Tallow, Turpentine, Camphor, and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. These would be combined together by heating the Mutton Tallow, then adding the others in the order as given. Stir, and only massage up and down the cerebrospinal system and across the centers specifically in the lower lumbar and over the kidney area - and the 3rd and 4th dorsal; just what the body absorbs. Preferably apply this when the body is ready for retiring of evenings. Do this in periods of three to four days, then leave off for a period of two or three days; and continue until there have been two or three rounds of this also.
-
Be precautious that there is not any large quantity of sweets taken at ANY time, especially during those periods when the medications are being applied.
-
These, we find, would make for the correction of these conditions.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Any intestinal trouble? (A) More the liver, which MAKES for intestinal irritation - and nausea.
-
(Q) Please outline correct diet. (A) As we find, the diet should be according to this as an outline:
Mornings - either dry cereals with fruits or with stewed fruits, or citrus fruit juices; but do not have the cereals AND citrus fruit juices at the same meal. Coddled egg occasionally. Whole wheat toast. Milk; and especially be mindful that the milk is well cared for.
Noons - either the fruit juices or a combination of fruits in a salad, or cakes with honey, or the vegetables that are combined or cooked well together in the form of soups or the like.
Evenings - rather the whole vegetable diet, consisting of vegetables that are cooked or combined in their OWN juices rather than with others. The meats should be rather of lamb, chicken or fish.
-
(Q) Should the violet ray be used? (A) The violet ray may be used occasionally. Not too strong, but especially over the UPPER dorsal and through the cervical area - and over the chest area.

“[566] on the other hand, while sufficiently improved on Saturday last to go to a party on Monday had another cold and was put back to bed. She seems perfectly well otherwise, however, and will probably be up and about by tomorrow.”
