This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of January, 1931, in accordance with request made by her husband - Mr. […].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5686]. Now, we find there are specific conditions as cause the disorders in the system. There are conditions from which specific infections occur, as bring the poisons in the system, and the attempt of the physical forces to adjust themselves to these conditions brings the disorder or the dis-ease in the system.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5686] we are speaking of, present in this room:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below the normal in pressure, in the elements as make for a perfect unison of distributed forces, low in the red blood count and unbalanced in the white and lymph as make for leucocytes; creating the amounts for coagulation in an uneven manner. Both the urea and gluco attempt, as it were, to supercede one another - or the system, in attempting to create an equilibrium, first finds one and then the other in excess.

4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, OR SYSTEMS, we find conditions that show the effect of pressure as being carried in the circulatory system, as related to the lymph and emunctory circulation. This from the poor eliminations in system, produced by the excess of pus formations or of the strept in uncertain nature; for they change in that - as has been given. These produce those distresses in the extremities, or in face, head, and portions of the body as are hindered in the circulation to the system.

5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, and the specific conditions as exist:

7. Sensory disorders, from pressures in soft tissue in face, antrum, and in the soft portions - these are a source of infectious conditions. These, in their attempts at times bring to the system those headaches, and the debilitation to the eyes, throat, and the general debilitation to the sensory system.

8. Throat, bronchi and larynx - rather the effect of poor circulation, and a disorder in the eliminations.

9. Lungs show an effect of the condition in blood supply, rather than of infectious forces from within themselves; as does the heart’s action - and the pulmonary or circulatory system through same - become functional, rather than organic, though these have been considered at times as the sources of disorder.

10. Digestive system and the position of the stomach proper has much to do with those conditions in the digestive system, as has caused disorders through the assimilations in the body - for with the position of the stomach proper, and of that condition in the circulation - as is seen from infectious forces these carried, and hindering in their eliminations in the liver - these make for toxic forces of a different nature through the intestinal tract. Hence the incoordination between assimilated forces where digestion takes place and the lack of that proper distribution in the circulation, produced in liver or in whole hepatic circulation - BETWEEN liver and kidneys - a disorder making for that tendency of the system to leave IN the body those poisons that should be eliminated, through the kidneys themselves. Then, toxic forces as combined between pus and the conditions in the digestive or eliminating system from digestion, make or produce the disorders for this body - [5686] we are speaking of.

11. In meeting the needs of the conditions of this body, we will find that there must be consideration given as to the position of organs themselves as related to the whole of the circulatory system - whether as to blood supply, nerve energy, or the lymph and the emunctory circulation; for the tendencies are of a system in a disorder of such a nature to throw first one way, then another, as to the positions of the distress produce by poisons left in the nerve plexus themselves, through lymph or emunctory circulation, as well as the blood supply. Again the stimuli to the nerve plexus to relieve those distresses in both organs and in the circulation, through soft tissue in face, as well as those glands in the digestive or assimilating forces of the body; removing those pressures in the right side where these hinder in digestion, which will RELIEVE the supply of the reserve in system, or those forces of the body as build for resuscitating of the body, and bring better conditions in system. The relief of the pressures through the colonic irrigations will make for a less toxic force, as will the creating of an alkalin condition in the digestive system make for the easier or nearer normal eliminations; using, then, with the proper position of the organs of the body, those local applications in the nasal, antrum, and soft tissues of face itself. Applications of the low form of electrical forces will aid in the digestive forces, through the sinusoidal - of the short ray - applying same to the 3rd and 4th dorsal and the umbilicus, making - in this PARTICULAR condition - a direct, rather than a secondary, divination in the reactions of impulse. In the manipulations, keep those as will tend to replenish and rebuild WHILE eliminations are being carried on.

12. The conditions from the colon itself, well were these at least once each week - or twice in ten days, for at least two or three such treatments. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) What causes the pain in stomach, hip and right side? (A) As has been outlined, from the accumulations of poisons in system, pressures as are created in body PRODUCE these conditions. With the applications as we have given we will REMOVE these disorders. Not only will the RESUSCITATING forces of the body be replenished, (not, of course, in a moment) but the removal of the pressures will remove the pain very quickly, see? We will bring a near normal condition for the body, increase in weight, relief from those bearing down pains in the lower portion of stomach - though this must be gotten into position, to be sure - as well as those in the right side, where the digestive system produces that distress. DO that. We are through for the present.
