This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of July, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [569].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement and relief of same, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.

3. Now, we find there are some changes in the body. Many for the better - many show an accentuation, or an exaggeration of conditions as have existed. Much more irritation through the upper portion and the right side, you see. This produces, too, that formation as has been seen in the body, that of the particularly soreness at times. Most of this, as we see, is as the system attempting in this place to form an outlet for the poisons as have been accumulating, and do accumulate from time to time in the system.

4. By keeping the eliminations more thoroughly in action - that is, not so much as to cause an irritation in the intestinal tract, see? not so much as producing an exercising of the mucus coating to that extent as to cause the condition to centralize there - hence the alkalines as should be used for this portion of the eliminations in the excitement of this. Well, too, that high enemas, carrying an alkaline antiseptic be used. This will aid in the eliminations.

5. Keep the Radium Appliance] applicator (this should be strengthened by more heat, light, see?) on the system.

6. Do not exercise the prerogative of temper quite so much. We will reduce MUCH of the aggravating condition as is created and produced in the blood supply, that aggravates the condition.

7. Keep off the feet quite so much, see?

8. Through this we will bring the better condition for the body at the present time. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) What alkaline should the body TAKE for the eliminations? (A) Oil - Usoline, and alkaline Petrolagar. That is not sufficient in itself, see? the Oil or the Petrolagar. Petrolagar carries the oil, the oil carries some of the properties, but a dose of Oil and a dose of Petrolagar each day, and we will find better results.

THEN, by using the enema, we will reduce the condition, see?

As for the irritation, and the knot as is seen, [in the left breast] this reduces by reducing the other conditions, see?

10. (Q) How often should the enemas be taken? (A) At least twice a week should the enemas be taken, or when necessary take oftener, see? using the alkaline antiseptic in same. Glyco-Thymoline - teaspoonful to a gallon of water.

11. (Q) Is there any temperature in the body, and if so what causes same? (A) Irritation produces some little temperature - not much. Heat - over exercise.

12. (Q) When using the left arm, what causes the intense pain in that side? (A) The irritation through that side, the muscles and the tissue about that portion of the body where they join to those from the right, causes this condition, see?

13. (Q) Any further suggestions for the improvement of this body? (A) Do as we have given for the present. Keep the eliminations in the way we have given, see? Keep the body as sweet as possible in temper, in manner, in every way. These will bring the better conditions for the body.

14. (Q) What causes the lump in the breast? [See 569-2, Par. 3-A.] (A) That as given. The system attempting to form in an outlet for that. Better not let it form, or come to the head.

15. (Q) Is it malignant? (A) Would be if allowed to come to a head. Would be the death of the body; for it’s to the vitals as this is attached, we see, internally. [GD’s note: Miss [569] died 10/43 after surgery to remove cancerous tumor on Fallopian tube.]

16. (Q) How best may this be prevented? (A) AS WE HAVE GIVEN. We are through.

R1. 7/26/26 “I hardly know what to say about the rdg., and while it it wasn’t any more than I expected, it was an awful shock too…yet I would rather it to be me than anyone else in the family, for all the others have their families and if it is the Lord’s will for me to go this way, it is all right with me. I really believe I can stand pain or suffering more than anyone, unless it is [538]. [See her Life Rdg. 569-6, Par. 6.]

“I have lost no time in taking the treatment… I am already having good results from the oil and Petrolagar… What do you think about me having an x-ray picture made. They think it would be best, so we could tell just how far it had gone. I will not have an operation until you say the word. Whatever you say will be just what I will do…

“[760] says your place looks so pretty, your flowers are beautiful and you are going to have some chickens - that’s nice, for you all to have chickens and eggs…

“After I take this tr. for a while I will ask for another rdg. Please don’t keep anything from me, for I want to know my condition.”

R2. 7/29/26 EC’s letter:

I do not understand exactly about the X-ray. From my experience, personally, I don’t think that the X-ray would reveal anything to you whatever. As to what the nature of the trouble would be. Possibly, the treatment by the X-ray would be good for the condition and scatter it through the system. This I think might be brought out by questioning same in another reading, for any electrical treatment will be good for you, provided it doesn’t scatter the condition in the system faster than the system is able to eliminate it through the regular channels of elimination. Otherwise, you would simply have the condition all over you rather than localized. I don’t know, of course, which would be the best.

But any time, you know, I’ll be glad to try to take this up again and see just what is the best thing, and possible we can ask a whole lot of questions about it and get a better understanding of it. I’m glad to know that you feel though that what you have is doing some good. I feel sure if you can keep these eliminations going, and if you could increase that pad, that would be the best thing, for then you’d have enough of Radium to scatter the condition, without overloading the eliminations.

R3. 8/10/26 “I am not feeling near so well this morning, believe I have some fever, as I feel so in a quiver, and my head has ached for two days - not a hard ache but just a nervous headache. I would give anything if I was there so I could talk to you and Dr. House. I just know I should be under the care of a doctor. I’m so afraid this trouble is getting such a hold it will be too late to have anything done. Please read those booklets on cancer and let me know what you think about it.”
