This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th St., Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [569].

Time of Reading 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ky.

1. EC: Now, we have those conditions as regarding those of the accentuated condition, as is produced in the body, [569].

2. These conditions, these strain, are produced, as we see, by indiscretion in ACTIVITY of the body, overtaxing the strength, see? and by the diet, which overloads the system with the drosses as are being eliminated, and of necessity the greater portion must be eliminated through the alimentary canal, and through the kidneys. Then, with the overtaxing, these, we see, through the circulation being carried back into the system, produce an accentuation of weakened portions in the body, taking on that form at times of congestion in muscular reaction in locomotories; again taking on those conditions as are produced in the sensory system, or affectation to the eyes, see? [See 569-1, etc.]

3. The strength should be conserved in the body. The diet should be CONSISTENT with that as has been given.

4. Then, to bring the better conditions, take those properties that will bring a thorough activity of the liver, first; such as would be found in this, or similar condition, to suit the temperament of the body:

Podophyllum…1 1/2 grains, Cascara Sagrada…1 grain, Licorice Compound…1 grain, Dover’s Powders…1/2 grain.

5. This would be as a dose. Two doses would turn the liver over, or make it act freely, see?

6. Then, in the using of the Radium Appliance] applicator as is applied to the body, at least two or three times every day, lie down and rest, laying applicator across the eyes (keeping the eyes closed during the time, see?), from two to two and a half minutes; not longer, see? Then, we will find this will bring a better condition for this body.

R2. 2/22/26 “The treatment you suggested for me is working like a charm. I am sitting up with my applicator treatment for the eyes. Dr. House times me… I have taken one dose of the medicine and am to take another one tonight; have been terribly under the weather for 3 wks., we have all had a siege of flu or colds for a month… I am almost a nervous wreck, I sometimes think I would be better off dead. Still, when I stop and think how fortunate I am I feel ashamed of myself to say such a thing. I have lost all I gained and then some. I weighed about a week ago and only weigh 106. If I just get to feeling better and get my eyes straightened out once more I guess I will be satisfied with whatever my lot will be, for a few years longer anyway.”
