This psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of June, 1927, in accordance with request made by Mr. [943].

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Florida.

1. GC: You will have before you the following Sections, Township, and Range, in Florida. You will tell us if oil will be located on any of these, and if so give the location on one of these as the best for the production of oil. If not, tell us where would be the place to locate for the production of oil.

You will have Sections 19, 30, 31, 6, 7, 9, and 4, in Range 34 South, and Township 54 East. Also Sections 18, 19, 30, 32, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, in Range 34 South, Township 55 East. Also Sections 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, in Range 34 South, Township 56 East. Also East half Sections 24, 25, and 36, in Range 33 South, Township 54 East. Also East one-half Section of 1, 12, 13, 24, 25, and 36, in Range 33 South, Township 55 East.

2. EC: Yes, we have township, range, and section, as are given here.

3. Rather, for the location and for the obtaining of production, would we give that as radiating from this as the center; for, as has been given, the larger pool in this portion of the country will be located in that formation where trap has held the oil, and the shape of this is almost the shape of a horseshoe, or following the general contour of this peninsular, extending farther up the west coast of the peninsular, and in the turn rather of same higher up the state. The range of the pool will be found to be some seven to ten (7 to 10) miles across in the end farthest south, and extending toward the east to some edge of the middle sectors of Dade County, tending toward the west, across the edge of Dade and up through adjoining counties to the upper portion of that as located. This, then, being near the center, and radiating some seven (7) miles, either way, turning toward the north and east on the east side, and toward the north and west from the west side. The specific location being on the upper or northern side of the anticline formed, and on edge of pool; being sufficiently over pool, however, to gain the better access to same - but in the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 52 South, Range 35 East. See? Here we would find this:

4. For the first ninety (90) feet principally muck, and gradually changing to the formations of the animal turned in stone. Then some formation of the delta nature, turning to the gray-blue shale in the two hundred to two hundred fifty (200 to 250) feet, and necessary drilling with that of the rotary rigs, and continuing much with this, with slight changes, to that depth of about fourteen seventy-five (1475). Then the hard lime, encountering many showings of oil, reaching large production in eighteen seventy-five to thirty-two hundred (1875 to 3200) feet. This varying according to the locations in the various positions along this anticlinal line, extending in this shape. In the specific location, large production in eighteen seventy-five to twenty-two hundred (1875 to 2200) being a deep heavy sand; not the highest grade of oil, but an extra gas grade, see?

My dear Mr. [943]:-

I had your wire relative to the treasure on Lostman’s River, and - as you will see from the enclosed - we took the opportunity this morning to try and get both of these matters straightened out - one relative to the oil and the other relative to the treasure. I don’t know why - with the suggestion given - that there wasn’t more given respecting the treasure, but am in hopes that from what you already have

• and with the reiteration of the same thing in this - that you will be able to make this location. I certainly am in hopes, however, that you all will take every precaution against there being any trouble - as has been indicated - respecting the removal of treasure when located. You know that we will be very anxious about this, and will be glad to have any information respecting same that you can give us. [See 1279-4.]

In the reading on the oil, again we see it refers to the original reading as has been given respecting the location of this pool. Seemingly, the information given here should be very valuable. Apparently, however, it does not cover the territory that you asked about. Whether the reading has given these directions correctly, as reference to range, or not, or whether it is following information that has already been given, or that was supplied for the first reading, I do not know. However, if you are able - by the maps that have been, no doubt, drafted of this territory - to locate just the territory that is given, this should prove very valuable information; not only for the locating of the original well

• for, as I understand it, this is within a radius of ten or twenty acres - but for the whole territory in which production may be expected to be found. Now, whether this anticlinal condition really exists or not, I have no way of knowing, but with as much prospecting as has been done in the state, there certainly must be some geological survey made, and it would seemingly be an easy matter - if you are able to obtain a copy of such surveys - to locate just the district through which this would pass. Then, if this checks with the information here given, one should be reasonably sure of making a correct location with the information you have here.

Well, as I wrote you a few days ago, we have been quite busy trying to get things together for our organization meeting. As I told you sometime ago, the State has granted us a charter - Association of National Investigators, Inc. - same name as was given to our INTERNATIONAL Association, of which you were to be generalissimo - so, I am sure, you will want to be associated with our national association, and I only wish it were possible for you to be at our meeting tomorrow. However, there is to be another meeting in six months, and I am in hopes that you will be able to be with us at that time. Can’t you begin to plan your arrangements so that you can do that? Just what there is to be outlined at that time is rather vague just at the present, but I am hoping we will get sufficient number of minds together, and focussed on some definite phase of the work, in such a way and manner that something may be accomplished. Just whether we will be able to outline any definite policies, other than in a general way at this time, I don’t know. There are so many phases to be studied respecting the phenomena, it is hard to know what is the right thing to do first - but I feel, from my personal experience with the phenomena in the last twenty-seven to twenty-eight years, that that phase toward the benefiting of ailing humanity should come first and foremost; so I am hoping that something in reference to the hospital or the institution will be the first thing to be considered. This, I know, requires a great deal more capital than I can see in sight at the present time - but, apparently, my greatest fort lies in that direction, and if we can arrange for even a very small institution, where the work may be demonstrated in a real scientific manner, we should be able to attract someone

• or several who have a philanthropic consciousness, and through same solicit their aid towards benefiting humanity. And I hope we can! I know you are a very busy man, and you have many other things to think about, rather than somebody else’s pet idea - but any suggestions as to how, who, where, when, we may see any individual - or take up any phase - that will be beneficial to humanity, I shall appreciate any suggestion you may have to offer.

I’m glad to say we are all fairly well here. The oldest boy has just gotten home - seems to have done very good for his first year in school. We hope - as soon as the other boy is out of school - to take a few weeks away from the work. While it’s true enough we’ve had some very nice little trips, but rather than being a rest from the work, it has been very much more strenuous at such times - and I feel that if we are to begin in real earnest, I should have at least two or three weeks - or six weeks - of absolute quiet. I cannot very well AFFORD it from a financial standpoint, but I believe I owe it to myself as well as to others - unless we are badly fooled as to what may be accomplished through the work - to preserve my physical health and strength as much as possible.
