This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of July, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:20 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

  2. While many conditions are very much better than that as we have had here before, there is as we find some anxiety owing to too great an activity through the eliminating forces and channels that have been intermittent and now appear to be as a constant flow (that is, through the menstrual activity), that makes for anxiety as well as being a bit weakening through the circulatory forces and through the psychological conditions as produce upon the body by this continual flow.

  3. As we would find, we would do this:

  4. First wire to discontinue the tonic that has been given, see? The effect of the Iodide has become too active through some of the glands. Just wire to discontinue this.

  5. Then we would begin with properties as soon as they are received, that would be prepared or compounded in this manner - and have same prepared here:

  6. To 1 ounce of Strained Honey add 2 ounces Distilled Water. Let come to a boil. Skim. Set off, and as it has cooled, use as a carrier; adding these - in the ORDER named:

Gin, preferably Gordon’s Gin or Double Distilled Gin…2 ounces, Tincture or Essence of Wild Ginseng…1/2 ounce, Tincture of Stillingia…1/4 ounce, Essence or Tincture of Burdock Root…1/2 ounce, A fusion or essence of Ragweed (or Ambrosia Weed)…1/4 ounce, Tincture of Capsici…5 minims.

Shake well. Dose: 1/2 teaspoonful 3 times daily for the first week, and then once a day for the next day and twice the next day and once the next day and so on until those periods for the eliminations again.

  1. Keep the feet bathed by not too hot a water, but to make for the circulation to the lower portions of the body (not that these are not clean - but rather for the circulation). And these will aid in stimulating the activity of the heart’s forces for the normal activity.

  2. Keep up the treatments osteopathically, stimulating almost both at once or both centers at once - the secondary cardiac plexus or that between the 3rd and 4th dorsal and the 4th lumbar at the same period; not so much movement but a gentle circular movement on both centers.

  3. Do this.

  4. Keep off of the feet too much. Keep in as little of anxiety, and in as pleasant and cheery company as possible.

  5. The readings would be light, the associations not of anxiety, and we will find conditions adjusting themselves.

  6. If there come the periods for anxiety in the OTHER direction, until corrections are fully made, it may be necessary to leave off this compound and take the other or the first tonic for a few days.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Would a long automobile trip at this time be harmful? (A) A long automobile trip would be rather harmful until these conditions have adjusted themselves. In ten days to two weeks this might be very advantageous, provided it is where the body would keep cool and be in the company of a great deal of pleasant surroundings.

  9. We are through for the present.

Wired also: Discontinue tonic. Delay trip two weeks. Full information being mailed.
