This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of July, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through her daughter, Mrs. [480].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

2. Under the existent conditions we will find a sedative will be well to relieve the general nervous strain; such as Silosan - two tablets taken at least three to four hours apart. Silosan Compound is the better.

3. Let the body remain quiet.

4. Keep the feet warm. Massage and make for the general rest.

5. Then follow those suggestions as have been indicated.

6. Keep quiet for two to three days.

7. Ready for questions.

8. We are through with this reading.

R1. 7/15/36 “I rec’d my rdgs. [601-13 and 601-14] for which I thank you. There must have been a mix-up somewhere, as I did not leave Detroit by motor with [480] and [633] as we had originally planned [See 601-13, Par. 14-A advising against it]. As soon as the telegram came about discontinuing the tonic and postponing the auto trip, I decided to leave by train a few days later, and waited for the rdg. It never came, as I waited until the following Mon. (7/6th) and have had my mail forwarded here since but no rdg.

“Probably due to the heat and change, I became very weak last Fri. and Sat. and [480] became so alarmed she wired for the ck. rdg. The Silosan tablets helped me and was feeling better Mon.

“After I rec’d the rdg. copies Mon. I also rec’d the medicine which had been sent to Detroit and then forwarded here. Thank you very much for ordering same, as it would have meant delay to order same after I rec’d the rdgs… [She reported on daughter’s 480-26.]

“Thank the Lord for the cooler weather we are having since yesterday afternoon.”

R2. 7/19/36 She phoned for 601-15.

R3. 8/9/36 Daughter [480]‘s ltr.: “Never again will we go against ‘orders’. It was a question of having Mother alone at home without [[1093], maid] for 2 wks. This did not seem the wisest thing to do, so we all urged Mum to come East by train. She must have contracted a chill from the air conditioned cars. I might add here that had Mother rec’d the full rdg. before she left, she might not have gone East. Through some error at the Beach the wire was sent and the rdg. was mailed with a 3 cent stamp, not air mail or special or some such thing; therefore she had already left Detroit by the time the rdg. arrived. I think it would be wise to continue as you have done in the past to follow up a wire with fast mail…
