This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. L. B. Cayce and Hugh Lynn Cayce.]

Time of Reading 2:35 to 2:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, New York. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [601]; this we have had before.

  2. Conditions, as we find in the present, are acute. We do not find any very serious breaks nor any ligaments torn. The greater part is the nervous shock to the system. The conditions in the head are rather from the bruise and the nervous shock to the neck, shoulders, and through the small of the back.

  3. As we find, it would be well that some MILD sedative be taken - as this: Add:

Tincture of Valerian…1/2 ounce, Elixir of Lactated Pepsin…1/4 ounce, Syrup of Rhubarb…1/4 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium…10 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium…50 minims.

The dose would be a teaspoonful in a little water, or taken in a spoon with a little water taken afterward, every hour or so until the body rests well.

  1. Keep cold cloths or an ice cap about the head.

  2. We would massage the neck, the back, with equal parts Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh. And, as we find, as the body rests, a little stiffness will appear.

  3. Then on the morrow we would have a good GENERAL osteopathic treatment.

  4. These, as we find, should make for the correcting of the conditions for the body.

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) What should be done to prevent after effects from the auto wreck? (A) This is what we are giving!
