This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of June, 1928, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [635].

1. EC: Yes, we have the impressions of the individual here - [608].

2. Now, there are changes in the physical conditions of the body since last we had same here. There are evidences of improvements in the condition. Still there exists those conditions that continue to cause distress in the assimilating and assimilation in system, bringing distraughtness in the hepatic circulation. This has especially to do with that portion of the system in the ascending and in the beginning of traverse [transverse] colon. The cause or seat of trouble, however, radiates to that of those ducts and glands where division in that assimilated takes place. Hence there is with the condition that occurring at times, though not so prevalent at the present, nausea, temperature, high blood pressure even, for the individual - see?

3. To meet the needs, then, with those conditions as are being applied - for we wouldn’t change these much, see? Only add these to same. We would give occasionally, when nausea occurs, equal parts of distilled water, lime water, and cinnamon water - see? little sips of same.

4. We would also give, at least twice each day, three to five drops Glyco-Thymoline.

5. Should there be pain, or a hardening of the region about this portion where trouble occurs; that is, in the right side, in the ascending colon, see? apply hot packs, or very warm packs, just so it will not burn the body, of olive oil, see?

6. As for the diet - this should consist principally of gruels, cereals, zwieback, milk - but preferably use dry milk rather than cows’ milk. The dried milk, see? This necessarily will need to be regulated according to the conditions as arise. Little orange juice occasionally will not be harmful.

No apple or fruits of other characters, though, may be used as yet. These, as we find, would bring the normal forces - reducing the conditions in system. Ready for questions.

R1. 6/9/28 Mother [635] thanked EC for the rdg.: “I’m complying with the rdg. with the exception of the oil packs. She doesn’t seem to need them as yet, and rdg. said in case she did. Of course she’s lots, lots better. It’s so very, very hot here - that seems to keep her cross - all broken out with heat.”

R2. 7/25/28 “I think she’s fairly well considering the Fla. hot weather. Doesn’t eat much - I don’t force her, but she surely eats less than any child I ever saw.”

B2. 5/24/28 Mother [635]‘s ltr.: “My baby is sick - quite sick. The best baby specialist we could get here has pronounced it colitis. The very name or word turns me cold all over. She was real well, I thought, when we moved here a little over a week ago, but the second day here she contracted a terrible cold, then immediately her bowels began, and with all I’ve done or the Dr. we have not been able to check them. It’s a thin passage but jelly-like with great lumps of mucus, and the bowels move 6-7 times daily. She has absolutely no appetite…”

B3. 5/31/28 “I didn’t mail the first, thought as we had the specialist we had better wait to see results. She’s better in a way, but she isn’t right. Her bowels are not right. I don’t know whether it’s her food - which consists of milk mostly - has no appetite yet or not getting right treatment. Something must be done.”
