This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of December, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [635], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:20 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Florida. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [635]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, there are still the effects in the system of the strain produced upon the structural portions of the body that set in motion the activities of the glandular system - that should have remained dormant.

3. Thus pressures have been produced upon the nervous system, so as to prevent the body from relaxing perfectly when attempting to sleep; making restlessness or insomnia, producing headaches; that become very detrimental or terrifying to the portions of the head especially above the ears and across the top, the back of the neck and the like.

4. And sometimes the digestive system is upset, until it becomes dizzy and nauseated.

5. As we find for this body, the Hydrotherapy Bath would be well; which would be to lie in great quantities or a tub of water for a long period - this being kept a little above the temperature of the body; then followed by a thorough massage by a masseuse. This would be better than adjustments OR deep treatments, though it will be found that with the massage along the spine, with the body prone upon the face, these would - with the knuckle on either side of the spinal column - tend to make many a segment come nearer to normalcy, by being so treated AFTER having been thoroughly relaxed for twenty to thirty minutes IN the warm or hot water, see?

6. These then would be followed of evening by a little general electrical treatment, not too much; which might be had from the violet ray; or, better still, the Radio-Active Appliance - or a very low form of battery appliance - this directly to the body. As we find, the Radio-Active Appliance would be better than the others. But the violet ray may be taken in moderation, if chosen - the direct current from the violet ray along the spine, just before retiring.

7. And then be mindful of the diet. Take plenty of rest. Let the activity be rather as the old saw goes:

8. After breakfast rest a while, after dinner work a while, after supper walk a mile.

9. And these if they are consistently kept will be found to be most beneficial - better rest and better activities through the system.

11. The treatment by the masseuse, following the hot bath relaxation as indicated should be taken at least once or twice a week; at least twice in ten days.

R1. GD’s note: We heard in Feb. ‘38 that Mrs. [635] had bronchial pneumonia. Her husband didn’t approve of the readings so it is doubtful that she followed any of the advice in 635-9, or, in fact, any of the readings completely.

R2. 6/20/40 Reply to Questionnaire: “My readings have been numerous and varied, and I responded to each treatment. I am now well, strong and happy! There was never a time when I felt the condition described was not correct, and if followed would receive desired results.”
