This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of March, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [654], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Miss. (Physical Suggestion)

EC: Those applications as we find that are being made very good for this body. There should be a little bit more precaution taken as to the diet and as to the regular activities of the body. There should be more activity in the open, and not too great a strain of cold or heat - especially at those periods when the irritation and those changes are coming about in the eliminations of the body.
-
The use of the vaginal applicator or the violet ray would be most helpful for this body, and would stimulate those activities of all the organs of the pelvis so as to rectify the discharge and tendency for the irritations that arise there. After such applications it would be well that there be a douche taken, preferably of Glyco-Thymoline; a tablespoonful to a quart of water, using the spiral douche. These will relieve these pressures.
-
For those conditions in the colon itself, those tendencies for the hemorrhoids, we find it would be well for there to be the activity of body bending forward as standing on feet and touching the floor bending forward - keeping the knees as stiff as possible. This exercise, raising the hands far above the head, will help in these directions.
-
The use of enemas, or of the high enemas, using the colon tube, would be helpful also.
-
The use of less and less of meats, that constipate and make for blood irritation, will be helpful.
-
Do this.

We are through with this reading.

R3. 7/13/37 Letter to EC from Mrs. [654]:
Box …, …, Miss.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am ashamed of the long delay in writing to you and also in paying my dues to the association but I will tell you a few things I’ve been through then perhaps you will see why I have been so long.
I’ll start with last summer. I was getting along fine after taking the last treatment I rec’d from you and had almost stopped menstruating for good when I fell in a hole in the back yard which had been covered up and I didn’t know was there. I dropped down in the ground 4 1/2 feet. I suffered agony for three weeks, was in bed and the Dr. kept me doped up to relieve the pain. I finally got better but have been menstruating or rather flooding twice and some times three times a month since.
When I had streptococcic throat, then a black widow spider bit me and I nearly died, my leg turned black up to my knee and I suffered terribly and was awfully sick too, then I got poisoned, had the flu and nearly had pneumonia, then got shot accidently in the arm and hip, then was sick for weeks with my throat. It was terribly ulcerated and it turned black, and they operated on me, took my tonsils out, was in the hospital two weeks and was at death’s door. Then I had the flu again and had ptomaine poison again.
Was just getting better and feeling my self again when [[…] Husband] had a stroke and nearly died, was in the hospital eleven days and here in bed for weeks with special nurses day and night all that time. I nursed him the first week and had to lift him so much and lost so much sleep and the worry etc. I collapsed physically and mentally, was in bed about two months.
Also last summer Mr. [[2656] stepfather] died and Mother [979] was ill and came here. I had to look after her, and [653] too had streptococcic throat and came very near dying.
So you see I have been at deaths door a doz. times and with all the other’s illnesses and the worry I just haven’t even been able to write. I think of you often and how good you and the association have been to me and our letters and the literature I’ve rec’d I always keep and read over and over and they help me so much. It has been awfully hard to come back up hill after so much suffering but I keep trying.
I was so glad to receive the little book of your life and have read it many times. I appreciate your sending it and it has helped me a great deal, also your last after.
I do hope I haven’t lost my membership in the association.
You will see that we have been to a great expense with all the hospital bills etc.
It’s been just this way for several years just one thing then another.
The Drs. don’t think [[…] Husband] will live long. He doesn’t look or act like the same person had his mind doesn’t seem just right and he can’t see well at all even with glasses. Even if he lives he won’t e able to work much longer I’m afraid. So you see things don’t look very bright one way or the other.
I am so weak and nervous. The Dr. says I’m doing fine after having been so ill and having been through such a strain but it seems to me I’m awfully slow about regaining my strength.
I would like you to give me a reading as soon as you can and if you will let me know when I will send a check. Any time will be all right except Wednesday afternoons.
I just must find something to stop this flooding it is so weakening and I think it’s fine I’m through with that for good.
For some time I’ve been taking the atomidine like you told me in my last reading and it always seems to help me and gives me more strength. I also use it in my nose and it has helped me wonderfully. I’ve been using the ipsab too on my gums, don’t know what I would have done with out it. They also pulled all my teeth except the very front ones and I was in the hospital two weeks then and the partial plates made my gums so sore I couldn’t wear them at all until I sent to Va. and got a bottle of ipsab and have been wearing the plates right along since.
I am inclosing the $12.00 for my memberships dues and do hope you can give me the reading. I do hope things will take a turn for the better and I will be able to keep up with my dues later in the future but just now as things look I don’t know from one Month to the next whether we will have any to live on at all. If [[…] Husband] gets where he can’t work I don’t know what we will do.
Hoping to hear from you real soon and with very best regards.
I am sincerely, […]
