This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of August, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [667], Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through her sister, Mrs. […].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Sister.]
Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [667]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, in the present this is rather an acute disturbance from the old causes, produced by overtaxation and cold just previous to the menstrual period; and thus having in the present a double reaction from same.
-
In the present, as we find:
-
We would use the heavy Grape Poultice over the abdomen, extending to the lower portion of same, even to the pubic bone. This we would keep for at least most of a twelve hour period, changing about every two hours. The Grapes would be preferably of the Concord variety; they would be crushed and put upon gauze and placed over the body, and then a heavy cloth over same. When the Poultice has become hot, or as indicated - about every two hours, change. Of course, do not use over again the same ones first used.
-
Also we would have the deeper manipulations (when the Period is passed) through the lumbar and sacral area. These should be made in special reference to correction of the position of the organs of the pelvis.
-
About ten days before each menstrual period we would use Tonicine.
-
These, with the precautions as indicated, keeping rather close to the diet, taking precautions not to be overactive, should bring the better conditions for this body.
-
Of course, for the stomach, we would still find the Bismuth AND the Elixir of Lactated Pepsin the better. Do not attempt to use this, though, except just after meals.
-
Enemas are preferable to too much of cathartics. Do not take sedatives unless absolutely necessary for the relief of pain.
-
Hot Epsom Salts Packs will relieve at the Periods when there is great distress; these applied across the small of the back as well as the lower portion of the abdomen.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Why hasn’t the Bismuth been effective? (A) As indicated, this is only for assimilation; not a settling or a relieving of SICK stomach or upset stomach.
That’s why, in the present, the Grape Poultices should be used to remove inflammation. Only one day of using these in the present should be sufficient.
Be mindful of the diet, as indicated; but not sufficient food has been taken.
-
(Q) Should all previous treatments be continued, or just these given here? (A) Just these given here for the present; and, as is seen, there is to be a change in the character of the manipulations as well as the medicinal properties now to be taken.
