1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [670], at home, …, Md., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to how he may best take advantage of the opportunities which may be presented, for his greater development and usefulness. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [670].

3. In giving advice or counsel, as we find the body has ingratiated and is in many ways and manners ingratiating himself in the activities and affairs of those with whom he has been laboring.

4. Then, as to how he may better carry on and take the advantages of the conditions, as we find, - as has been indicated, keep very close to those in authority in those activities in which the entity has been active; seeking through those channels for opportunities to aid, or to become an assistant in aiding in the various expeditions that will be planned in conjunction with or through the offices of those with whom the entity has been and is associated and affiliated.

5. Let those in those positions know the desires in these directions; and as we find, we will bring about real opportunities, real activities in these directions.

7. (Q) What connections should I make at this time? (A) As has been indicated, let those in authority know that self is ready if there is the seeking - and there ever is - for those to help or aid as director or assistant director in various groups of researchers in the fields of activity in which the entity has been and is engaged, see?

8. (Q) Is there any specific thing I could do to increase my value to those I am assisting? If so, what is it? (A) Only keep those particular attentions to the abilities of those in RECONSTRUCTING and EVALUATING those discoveries that are made, see?

9. (Q) Whom should I marry? (A) This should not be a part of the entity’s consideration as yet; not until a very DEFINITE place has been reached in its activities.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I received the reading and yours of fifteenth; thanks a lot for the helpful information, it’s encouraging to know that I am in the right place and that I can continue to be of service here. I would like very much to have a reading on one of these Indian village sites in Virginia, the first time it seems practical I will get in touch with you; it ought to be an interesting experiment.

R2. 6/14/39 [670]‘s letter:

Mr. Edgar Cayce Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Tomorrow or the next day I am leaving for Virginia, to spend a month or more there working at the Indian village site that mentioned in my previous correspondence with you. While I do not think it advisable to approach Dr. Stewart (the man in charge) on the subject of psychic research as he is a man of science and probably would not be in sympathy with such work; (I do not feel that I am capable of explaining the Association’s work to him.) yet I think this might be an opportunity to have a reading on an archaeological site, to see what will come of it and let the results speak for themselves. I will be more or less in charge at the site for at least part of the time and will be in a position to carry out any instructions a reading might contain; which I would endeavor to do to the best of my ability.

I am leaving the advisability of this proposed reading entirely to your discretion if you would care to give such a reading as an experiment I think it might be very interesting. In the event that you do decide to have a reading, I am giving you the location of the site as it will be rather difficult to get in touch with me for the next month.

The Indian Village of Patawomeke is located on the north side of what is now Potomac creek, near Marlboro Point, Stafford County, Va.

Dear [670] -

Yours of the 14th came just when the meeting here was opening for four days - we had lots and lots of people here this year, many came with the purpose of having appointments while here, so it has been and is impractical for me to undertake anything of the kind just now so guess we will have to “wait a more convenient season” am sincerely interested in undertaking something of the kind and hope we can try it soon but just now can’t be done, as have even had to turn away some wires for help for urgent case.

Let me hear how you come along won’t you - and here is hoping can do better next time.

Mr. Edgar Cayce Arctic Crescent Virginia Beach, Virginia

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I regret that I have not been able to find time to acknowledge your last letter. I received it while I was working in Virginia and two days after I arrived home; I left again for Mexico. The money I saved while working in Virginia made it possible for me to attend a congress of scientists in Mexico City.

I returned from Mexico about a week ago. I have no job and incidentally no money. As ever when I find myself in an awkward situation I am turning to you for assistance. I would appreciate it immensely if you could find time to have a check reading for me as I feel the need of advice and I want to do the right thing.

Let me know how things are with you. You have been so busy this past summer, I hope you haven’t overdone it.
